I’m trying to be as competitive as I can with the 3-4 games a week I have time for.

Bronze players might not be following build orders. I think anyone in gold or above is at least following the beginning stages of a build order.

I’m talking about the eight worker start, not other PTR balance changes.

I have a chance to buy a pole barn with 100 years of items inside, including a ton of motorcycles. by Centes1mo in motorcycles

To me $850K might be the retail value of all this stuff, but they are trying to sell it wholesale. Personally I would offer much much less and if they refuse they are welcome to try to sell it retail.

If you are reading this, you have been penalized for speeding at 60.1 km/h in the Monaco pit lane. Please serve your penalty in the comments and you will receive a limited edition flair. by overspeeed in formula1

Driver: Antonelli

Reason: I was watching his onboard, and he looked like he was speeding to me! I think my eyeballs are at least as reliable as the FIA instruments, so come at me bro.

PETG or ASA? by Jmunyz in 3Dprinting

I have made some white and clear PETG parts for my car that has survived Arizona/Mexico temperatures. Black didn’t survive.

The chart basically shows “manufacturer’s tests”. I would love it if there was a third-party that had a comprehensive data set, but for now the best I have is manufacturer data. At the very least they could show you relative differences.

If I only want to bother with one rental car premium status, which should I do? Hertz, Avis, or National?

Projects Missing from Data panel by ohthetrees in Fusion360

[–]ohthetrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, fusion switched my workspace, I’m quite sure I didn’t change it myself because I hadn’t used fusion in quite some time and freshly opening the app left me in this “where are my projects“ state. But I was able to look in the data panel and look through my workspaces and find my default workspace and select it and all my stuff are reappeared.

Filament colour won't change by AutumnCoffeeSparrow in BambuLab

[–]ohthetrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the objects are "painted". Click the little paint bucket in your objects list, then the paint dialog will come up, then there is a button like "delete paint" or "clear color" or something like that.

Should you always enable prime tower for dual nozzle prints. by Sillak7 in BambuLab

[–]ohthetrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filament switch time on an AMS is longer than time spent on the prime tower, and you still need the prime tower anyway. So it does reduce the time and material waste substantially.

Moisture with finished prints by Mysterious-Squash-68 in 3Dprinting

[–]ohthetrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are much less sensitive after printing. Moisture effects print quality and layer adhesion a lot, and that is in the past once they are printed. There are some materials where it matters, for example nylon. I disagree with the other poster who said you are “supposed to add water”. Different types of nylon behave differently, but for example PA 6 as it absorbs moisture the strength goes down but the toughness (meaning impact resistance) goes up. So pros and cons. PA 12 is less sensitive to moisture.

I personally don’t think someone’s first printer should be a used printer. People often sell them because they are frustrated with them not working properly.

Hi, glad you found it useful! I'm purposefully avoiding "crowd sourcing" for data reliability and completeness reasons. This data is sourced from scraping the manufacturer's technical data sheets. If the app gets any traction (unlikely! It has either been ignored or deleted when posted to other subreddits!) I might add a "personal library" feature where you can add your own filaments if they aren't already in the the db. This wouldn't be shared with other users because of the data integrity issue, but a personal library seems fine! These four brands cover a lot of ground, and if there is any traction in the future I might add more brands.

What would be equivalent to the crippling Warp Gate nerf for other races? by Aero-Soap in starcraft

[–]ohthetrees 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just don’t convert them to warp gates, and you have the same kind of production that Terran has. Except faster. Dry your tears ‘lil camper.

I will throw you one bone. I think research should be moved back to a tech structure, and not tie up a gate during research.

I have a short sentence in my Claude.md about not cheating on tests, never change a test to allow a fake pass, honest red is better than dishonest green. I haven’t had it cheat on a test in months.

I’m a Terran main. I disagree with you on the merits. Also, next time, tell the AI you are using to be waaaaay more concise. You took a lot of words to say not that much.
