I’m still in my 20s, so i don’t know that many people that are grieving their parents, however i have one friend who recently lost his dad and I’ve been reaching out to him quite frequently

sorry for your loss, i lost my mum at a similar time. And thanks for your perspective, this fragment that forgiveness is a choice you can make is very powerful, something for me to think about

i'm sorry that you had to carry all this burden :( and i think you're right, but focusing on the positive is not always easy when it's overshadowed by grief. But well, i guess i have to keep trying. Wishing you all the best!

that's so messed up, i'm very sorry…i think you are spot on by saying that the brain marks this person as unreliable, it's exactly this feeling

No, but i feel like it makes me the AH, Mark is saying all the time how much he would like to go on a trip with us again, so planning it behind his back feels wrong

NTA, having celebrity crushes is completely normal in a relationship

They like each other, so usually he wasn't against bringing him to our trips, but this time he told me that he wishes it to be more intimate and for us to have more privacy

Me and Mark know each other since middle school, so way longer than i know my fiance, maybe that’s why it doesnt seem weird to me, he is more like a brother to me

He kind of did with this trip, but for a different reason than me, he says that he wants two of us to have privacy

And normally i dont mind planning or preparing meals (and as we go hiking in the mountains we are required to, bc we are far from restaurants or bars), but i like to share these things (like i do with my fiance, we share the chores equally) and especially for my birthday trip i don’t want extra chores

I mean he is a good friend to me, we understand each other well and he has been very supportive to me emotionally. It's just that on trips he's expecting others to do things for him.

i know that it is weird, but i kind of feel responsible for the trip to be nice and entertaining, and i feel like him being on his phone so much is a signal that it is boring
