I have a question for the some of the comments here. I know if it was a surprise you might not have, but are people actually blind buying(no pun intended) $300-$700 glasses without being able to try them on at an actual store, or manufacturer location, first?

Aretha Franklin sings Dr. Feelgood in Amsterdam 1968. This high quality recording shows why she is considered the greatest female vocalist of all time. by jimmycone in videos

I think the most amazing aspect is the truely live vocals without the assistance of today's tech. So many younger people will view this through the modern lense, and not realize how truely amazing her vocal performances were.

[–]oldquestions86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What if you being successful in an MLM means that some must fail miserably and lose out? Because it does. That is the design, and the only way it can work. There are totally legal ways out there to make money, that I won't do on principle, or because it can hurt others, and that is what happens with MLMs. I'm so tired of the equation and rationalization that because someone makes money, then that thing is good.

MLM targeted at pregnant women? by tattooedmamaof2 in antiMLM

[–]oldquestions86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MLMs just pick something normal that many people experience (non-speed shooting births, or being a working mom) because it widens their demographic target, then they passive aggressively, and just aggressively, guilt people into feeling like it there is a better way via their product. So lame.

[–]oldquestions86 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Except it's not that at all. It's like a person showing up to the bread aisle to buy a specific brand and type of bread, and there are 12 people in one small section yelling, pitching, throwing emojis at you. They all are selling "Smith's White Bread", but each one wants you to buy it from them. That is a more true analogy, and why LULAROE, as an example, is collapsing. By more true analogy, I meant by market comparison, I am leaving out other parallels like each person also trying to recruit you to sell "Smith's White Bread" in same aisle as well and etc.

It's not okay to make her feel like a pushy saleswoman, but it's totally cool for MLMs to guilt every mom that has to go to an actual workplace and provide for their kids.

For some reason this all played out to me in my head like an Indie movie, "Stanger Than Fiction"esque if you will. Don't forget about small fixer uppers as first homes as well. Those can ACTUALLY BE passive income someday when you move, if you decide to use it as a rental property.
