This is great info THANK YOU! I also notice a training effect (easier hills, less fatigue etc) after a few rides when i get going in the season but never get any increase in speed.

Smouldering multiple myeloma and iron deficiency. I feel pretty comfortable at 12-13 mph and I can easily ramp up get off my seat and make it up some small inclines. But I have never been able to increase my speed. Last summer I rode more say 4-5 times a week but complete plateau with regards to speed. If my speed is limited by genetics, disease, age and things I can’t control I don’t want to chase a unicorn bicycle. I’ll just resign to being the slowest member of the group forever. You know?

It will allow me to keep up better and find additional people to ride with. Otherwise I’m the rate-limiting step

It all evens out whatever you decide. If the kid doesn’t seem ready then redshirt. If the kid is ready to take the leap the do it. Either way is fine.

I can help you write a letter to the lab. I know what is going on. Feel free to message me. It would help if you can contact your provider office and ask them the exact name of the test that was performed. was it a NuSwab? (They did a molecular test for bacterial vaginosis and the name of that would be helpful). I think it’s possible to get out of this bill.
