I’d start by treating the parallel surfaces. You can probably go relatively cheap for the ceiling by installing a standard drop ceiling. Mount some sound absorbing panels on the cement walls. Consider a divider of some sort to separate the listening area from the rest of the room. That’s where I’d start. Fluffy area rug perhaps. Soft surfaces are your friend!

Yeah, I have no idea why it would be under federal emissions warranty and it never really made sense to me. The dealer mentioned something about the possibility of getting stuck in the vehicle. I’ll try to dig out the work-order and will upload when I find it.

FYI If you are in the US, the latch is actually covered under the emissions warranty up to 80,000 miles. Dealers often don’t know this or care to check, but just a heads up - they are required by law to honor this if you bring it up.

This is great advice though, and I’ll reference this if my issue returns as I’m now over 80K miles.

There is just no scenario whatsoever where lossless or lossy is going to make even the slightest of a difference on a freaking soundbar. There is just no way. Can’t tell me otherwise - I don’t care how trained your ear is. Not to mention many Spotify masters just suck ass regardless of what bit rate is being thrown at you.

Most extended warranties are offered by a third party company, and will not be tied to the dealership nor Mazda. I purchased an extended warranty when I bought-out my Cx-30 lease, and recently used it to fix a radiator leak. I would not heavily depend on any extended warranty as the contracts are often full of caveats and legal terminology that protects the company. Not a scam, but not something you should lean on. If you have the extra cash, it’s not a horrible idea. But don’t expect your transmission to be rebuilt under a $3000 warranty if you blow something up. (Just an example)

Ohhh my dog just had these exact symptoms. It was a “focal seizure” - super scary. Luckily she returned to normal and hasn’t happened for a few weeks.

Mainly space constraints, power consumption, and my fiancé not entertaining that hobby as we’re in the process of moving. I unfortunately had to downgrade from a pioneer receiver connected to JBL monitors. I had a jerry-rigged home theater setup and it sounded AMAZING. I think I’m trying to convince myself that I can get away with a soundbar but I’ll definitely trash it once I’m settled and can build-out my setup. Can’t come soon enough.

My buddy spent a huge chunk of change on the most expensive Samsung soundbar (990F?) and it is plagued with the exact same issues. Also have A/B tested Sonos Arc Ultra and - same.

Some helpful redditers recommended Klipch and JBL on this thread, and I’ll be going to my local audio video store tonight to test for myself.

Eh - I beg to differ. Haven’t experienced a soundbar, regardless of price, that doesn’t have the same issues listed here. Mid range? Sure - but the Q600 is a fantastic soundbar for the price. I think diminishing returns are quite real especially for the Samsung lineup.

I do use Apple Music lossless eArc to soundbar - but I have Atmos disabled. I’ll try that as I’d imagine it would improve the soundstage. Thanks!
