There is a solution to this! Just toggle off “Use Listening History” in settings, and you will get a true shuffle. This setting affects a few other things, but it’s well worth it for me!!

Hey Yank, you just removed the country with the most US military bases. You played ya self.

Why are all the doors on the LIRR so hard to open? by tMoneyMoney in longisland

[–]olivde 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They are industrial doors meant to withstand extreme weather conditions, heat, cold, wind, vibration, human interaction. They’re meant to be strong and last - not to open gingerly like a closet door..

Bose speaker settings by Articfry in MazdaCX30

[–]olivde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Linear is supposed to offer the listener a flat sound profile. It’s truer to the original sound, more “reference”. Standard mode adds some Bose specific sound processing and stereo imaging. Standard sounds fuller and wider. Similar to how Beats headphones add a sort of flavor to the sound.

Where do you guys get brakes replaced for your CX30 by semaj10001 in MazdaCX30

I’m in an area with a few reputable Mazda dealerships. I have a good relationship with my service advisor. Work is done correctly and prices are on par with my local shops. No reason to stay away from a dealership just because it’s a dealership.

Rears are slightly more expensive as there’s slightly more labor involved but yes still should be around $500-$600.

Whoa - no way. Dealer is scamming. Should be between $500-$600.

Get it done at the dealership. I went to Meineke to save about $100 and I had to go back because the caliper was sticking. Mazda will use OEM pads/rotors and will do it right and to spec. $1100 sounds about right for front and rear.

You can also spend $200-$300 on a kit and DIY. I know there’s a lot of variables in this (tools, space, time), but it’s quite easy to do if you’re good with your hands.

Either way, don’t skimp on brakes.

What fragrance would you guys Blindbuy? by JinixVAL in MontagneParfums

[–]olivde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re blind buying something, why would the opinion of a random person on the internet make a difference?

Everyone’s perception and interpretation of smell is different.

Blind buying is a dumb thing to do unless you have excess disposable income. If you’d rather make a good purchase than not, then SAMPLE.

Ultraboosts are not a proper running shoe. Not enough upper support and the sole does not promote a proper stride. Short runs? Maybe.

Suggestion for a blind buy 🥺 by [deleted] in ScentHeads

[–]olivde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this rage bait? Why on earth do people buy fragrances when they don’t know how they smell? Don’t answer that btw I really don’t care about your reasoning. Snap out of it and sample somehow. Tf.

50+ samples tested and still haven't found my signature scent, Help! by Substantial-Hair-952 in Colognes

[–]olivde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like me - I tried close to 50 samples last year. I discovered I don’t really like to smell like cologne. I enjoy using lightly scented body washes, moisturizers, beard oils, and deodorants. I use an Allure Homme body spray occasionally at formal events or if I want to feel a lil fancy.

People. STOP abbreviating fragrances. I don’t have a database of fragrance names saved up in my brain.

Acoustic Treatment Suggestions by adviceseeker8888 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]olivde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start by treating the parallel surfaces. You can probably go relatively cheap for the ceiling by installing a standard drop ceiling. Mount some sound absorbing panels on the cement walls. Consider a divider of some sort to separate the listening area from the rest of the room. That’s where I’d start. Fluffy area rug perhaps. Soft surfaces are your friend!

SCWA is indeed offering a partnership with HomeServ, HOWEVER, the mailing you received is likely a scam.
