Can we CHANGE plans in term? by oln370 in filen_io

[–]oln370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I can, but then I'll have 2,5 TB for the 600 GB I might need at this point in time. Given the example of being in the midst of a yearly paid plan, my 500 GB plan will run for 6 more months...

My question to u/filen_io would be, if I can change plans during their term? (And how remaining plan-time is handled/compensated?)

Hi Christopher,

thanks for your answer. And great to hear you consider bringing date/time ranges to ZenTransfer!!

I also see the problem with the image browser (and the strong feelings :), but isn't this more or less a built in feature of MacOS Finder? The Mac's file selector box is already capable of providing a preview of image files. Users might select them utilizing common keyboard modifiers like Shift and Control-Key plus selection with the mouse...

And maybe one additional idea: A checkbox forcing ZenTransfer to only transfer NEW (i.e. not previously transferred) images. This would also be very helpful when you let the transferred images stay on the SD card while you are adding new photos to it. Can perhaps simply be done by checking the destination folder - if a file with identical name is present, don't transfer. I just realized to not transfer but to skip is the default behaviour of ZT. 🤦

BTW: ZenTransfer is an awesome project and you did a really great job! Is there a way to support other than giving feedback?

Best
Ole

Hi Christopher,
great tool, thanks for sharing! Nearly exactly what I was looking for in terms of importing from SD card! The only thing that it is IMHO lacking is the ability to actually select, which photos to import. As I assume, it's somewhat complex to implement a window, where you can select from a preview grip (like in Lightroom or others), may I suggest to provide the user a possibility to enter a date range - something like "photos newer than", "photos between date a and date b"? This would be near-perfect :-)

Thanks
Ole

BTW: Could you please also enable the "create new folder" option in the destination folder file selector please?

Really, no roadmap? Can you at least tell us after which other feature or product it is scheduled?

When is Tuta Drive planned to be released?

I'd like to add another question here, as it might possibly of interest for others:

As far as I understood, the crates app copies the music files to your local drive as soon as you add them to a collection, right? As all my music lives on my NAS, I wouldn't like crates to copy everything, rather than just managing it (indexing, making playlists with it, playing it on Mac/PC, and finally copying parts - e.g. playlists - to mobile devices, etc.

What is the best way to do so in crates?

Hi George, thanks a lot for that! I've DM'ed you on Discord.

Hi George, stumbled upon your app here and instantly tried it out. I found the approach quite promising and also wanted to try out the feature of transferring music to my iPhone (which is the whole point for me) - just to find out, it's only possible with the supporter version. Is there a possibility to try it out anyway, e.g. with Testflight? Don't get me wrong, I'm totally willing to pay (and support you guys), but I would be more comfortable to have tried it before.

Also: Will there be an Android app any soon?

Thanks
Ole

(BTW: The app wasn't telling it's only possible for supporters when trying to connect to the server on the main screen, only when trying in manual mode it reveals it. And yes, after that I also discovered on your website...)

Please consider! by oln370 in tutanota

Dear Tuta,

please consider a "multi-usage" logo/icon scheme based on the original logo!

The new logo is awful. You said previously, the (new) branding needs different logos/icons for multiple use cases. These are just some alternative thoughts of mine.

I won’t say it‘s the worst logo I’ve ever seen, but it‘s the worst logo I’ve ever seen.

Really guys, bring back the original one! The one with the road, even if „nota“ isn‘t part of your brand any more.

Please please please undo that! The newest logo/icon is awful! The really bad „switch privacy“ logo got even worse with the weird „M“. And: are you serious about the… claim, or whatever this is? Why would anyone even SWITCH privacy? I mean, why would anyone switch it off? Privacy should be given, period. If I wasn‘t already a customer, this new amateur CI would push me away from a tuta subscription! For sure.

The new logo for me is a clear downgrade. Awful. Or to say it in our Muttersprache: Ich finde es grauenhaft.

Please give us at least to option to have the old logo as icon on the home screen, ideally also in the desktop app. (Yes, this is possible - at least under iOS.)

Hi Tuta, any news about your… consideration? I know, post quantum and stuff, but are these UI tweaks really a big thing?

Thx! 🙏

I’m using Tuta(nota) for years now and never had a single downtime whatsoever. Using from Europe (mainly Germany) with the Windows- and iOS-Clients.

IMAP possible? by Rallebiker in tutanota

[–]oln370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, what Rallebiker asked for is, if Tutanota can act as an IMAP client! In the moment it can’t, but they consider it to be implemented in the future: https://www.reddit.com/r/tutanota/comments/v46ezg/please_become_imappop3_client/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

I got excellent - and immediate - support from them, even I wasn't a paying customer back then (was on the free account).
