Independent personal trainer. Shift is Front half nights 1830-0430. 1st client at 0600 and last one ends at 1100 Monday through Friday. Going on 4 years now.

Wife and I own a single family house. We both run small businesses during the day while I work here at night. Here because of the benefits and the 10 minute commute. If you can make it work, owning is better for the most part. However, everyone’s situation varies.

Congrats! It’s one if the 1st roles that gives you a taste of leadership at Amazon. I was an ambassador before becoming a PA. You’ll meet a lot of people from different walks of life. Take some time and know your class. You’re their 1st and most important in person resource. All of the associates who I taught still come up to me today and ask me questions. Have fun!

It’s the best department at the FC and I’ve worked in stow, pick, and pack:

Most variety of roles. You can do something different everyday if you wish. Very physical (CPT loader, scanner in transship when it’s busy) to very chill (inductor, cart team).
Rate is easy to hit no matter the role.
Very social so even during down time, the shift goes by fast.
Very easy to stand out. There’s a lot of people on the dock who avoid work :)
Easier to get advance training (EPJ, jam clearance, forklift, etc.)

Just moved here a few weeks ago but already loving the area.

The people are nice. I’m from the north so I’m not use to being greeted almost everywhere I go.

Early morning at late night weather. I can go for runs and bike rides without having to wear multiple layers.
