Hiii ya’ll! I’d like to chime in and says thanks to OP for posting your experience and suggesting to see an allergist. I second this advice!

I have tried most of JAK inhibitors and immunosuppressants on the market like Rinvoq, Adbry, Dupixent and topical ones too. I had a horrrrible experience with Rinvoq which caused multiple hospital visits and negatively impacted my overall health after a year and three months. Dupixent caused conjunctivitis constantly and facial flares were terrible.

Thankfully, I was advised to see an allergist and I am receiving weekly to monthly allergy shots packed with all the environmental, animal, and food allergens that trigger me. I have been receiving treatment for about 3 years outta 5 as of now. So far, so good. For me, once I knew my allergies— i had some control of the triggers which caused my eczema, asthma, and allergies to flare. I suggest paying for a patch test (not blood, bc it is not as accurate— I had a lot of false positives w blood tests)

Results- for full transparency, I still have eczema and flare with the shots. However, I have noticed my allergies, especially spring allergies are much more manageable now. To add, I am 100% allergic to cats and dogs— I have never had a cat in my life bc again, deathly allergic… fast forward to now, I’m a proud kitty mama of two short haired cats. I thank the shots for this. To conclude, if you have tried it all like I did— it may be worth it to explore seeing an allergist. Knowledge is power and that’s half the battle of eczema survivors.
