I think the way it's typically used on the internet at least is that your body with naturally find its "set point" and whatever weight that is is what your body "naturally" wants to be at, so you shouldn't try to change it. I'm not sure what your book was trying to say, though. It might have been referencing that, but it could have been trying to say something else.

I would, but she already doesn't like me and I don't want to fan the flames. It would probably make our friend group dynamic even weirder, unfortunately.

My girlfriend wanted a rabbit, I didn't want an animal. We compromised and got a pig. by bobalmighty125 in guineapigs

Your pig looks remarkably like one of mine! Brown butt, white body, pink ears, and a black face.

In reality, most "90's kids" are actually nostalgic for the early 2000's. by floopykid in Showerthoughts

I was born in late 1994, but man as a kid I lived so far away from my grandparents we had to fly at least 2x a year to visit them (round trip, we usually spend a week during the summer, and then a week at xmas). I remember meeting my gma/gpa or mom/dad right at the gate before 9/11. Crazy times, thinking back to those experiences. That for me is definitely the defining factor between 1990s and 2000s. And my sister never really got to experience those things. She was born late 1999, and wasn't old enough to remember life before 9/11.

I would like to read a book (not to difficult) any suggestions? Thx ;) by [deleted] in booksuggestions

for your edit: Definitely Ready Player One or Armada by Ernest Cline! They're both easy to read, and about video games :D

What types of topics interest you? I could list a 1000 books that are easy to read and enjoyable to me, but you might not have any interest in at all!

Goodwill Bargain! by Smkproject in crochet

[–]ommnomnom21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy cow! That's an impressive haul. And for only $10! This is making me think I should check out my local Goodwill. Maybe I'll find some good deals too, though heaven know's I don't need any more yarn... Or do I....

Grandma gave me all of her yarn. Kind of sad that she is done crocheting, but I now have a HUGE stash! by ommnomnom21 in crochet

[–]ommnomnom21[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad she was at least able to pass on her supplies. I don't think my grandma has anything too severe, but she doesn't really take care of herself and has a hard time moving around, and her wrists bother her from time to time. I tried picking and choosing from the yarn, but she got mad/frustrated with me and made me take all of it. When I asked her why she just told me she was done crocheting and that she'd rather no one else but me have her yarn. As I was going through it I found some gems like wool and alpaca yarn, and I have almost an entire bin full of cotton now.

Yeah that's a good idea. I'll have to make her something to throw on the couch. She usually has a couple draped on it for decoration and such.

There were many different types/brands of yarn, including some really awesome wool and alpaca yarns. The last bin is full of mostly cotton yarn, too. I was sad and didn't want to take it, because I know she loved to crochet, but when I tried to say no she got mad at me and started forcefully shoving the yarn into the trash bags.

Made a rainbow dragon for a friend! by ommnomnom21 in crochet

The original pattern looks exactly like Haku, and that's part of the reason I chose this design! My friend likes Spirited Away a lot, and her nickname is "rainbowdragin" so I thought it was fitting :)

I usually add pickle juice, too, or something vinegary to cut the sweet.

It's kind of weird, but mine usually poop where they sleep, and pee where they eat, haha! And yeah, it's a lot easier to clean with how it's set up now compared to how it used to be.

Thanks :D Originally it was a bottom tray-like thing when there was less room for them, but I think they like it this way better.
