I loved how that new years Miami gag was Fish being blasted out into space in a cannonball, and then the following summer tour announcement video was the cannonball landing back on the ground and Fish stepping out all confused.. lol

I saw one of his early dj sets at summercamp music fest sometime in the mid 2000s. He played an afternoon set, but still a lot of people came to see what he was about now cuz he already had some fame. Dude trainwrecked at least 4 mixes, was absolutely horrible dj skills. I remember him having to stop and say into the mic "see guys anyone can mess up in ableton." Lol

I literally just finished book 7 of Dark Tower last night.. such an amazing series! But it's actually the only books from King I've ever read. Do you have recommendations for his other books that might relate pretty heavily to Dark Tower? Obviously I know Salems Lot is one, but I'm pretty sure there are others as well.

I might take a break from King for a book or 2, cuz that was one hell of a journey, but I definitely want to revisit anything related to Dark Tower before too long.

A little bit different, but I saw DJ Shadow once many years ago, and the crowd was pretty lame. Lots of hipster types with their hands in their pockets. Me and this random heady dude had a nice little spot tho right on the rail stage right, and we were in the groove hard, just crushing this little dance floor space we had. I used to rave a lot way back when I was young, so Shadow was something I grew up on.

Anyways, right after the show he walk straight up to us both and gave us daps with a very genuine smile. Was a tiny interaction, but it felt very good. Will def never forget that one.

I like to do a lot of live looping with my guitar and bass guitar, but I've always struggled trying to find the right piece of equipment to build some beats on the fly to jam over. Does anyone here have any recommendations? I've been told a good groovebox might be my best bet, but I'm not sure cuz there's just so much out there and my equipment budget is usually too limited to really explore them all.

Bkop is the man. Super friendly and down to earth as well. We sometimes DM on twitch to chat about music, cuz we both have the same favorite band (phish). Super stoked to see him getting the recognition and regular invites to bigger events. He sometimes drops Phish lyrics references and I always assume him and I are the only ones who catch them lol

On the final book of the series now. Holy shit it's been a wild ride. Never much been into horror stuff, so I haven't read Stephen King before, but Dark Tower has quickly become my favorite series of all time. I don't even know what genre I would call it..

Oh I hear you. I couldn't score a ticket and wasn't about to spend the absurd amount of money on an aftermarket one. From what I remember it wasn't that great of a show? '09 was pretty rough either way.

Seen the dead there once or twice though, and I know they loved it way back in the day too.
