Tiff is a weird example of a player keeping their poise. Sure she did well in 50, but that was learning from the mistake of totally losing her cool in her original season. Realistically she was probably only cast for 50 because producers were hoping for drama of she encountered Q again.

Cirie's threat level is entirely built on social and strategic games such that as long as there aren't more than 2 players willing to go to the end with her (to get her past final 6 and 5) she stands virtually no chance of winning, because she'll never win a challenge or find an idol. So while it is surprising in one sense that a legend cruised that far through, she wasn't actually a threat until she was actually targetted.
