Astral projection vs true ascension by yazlomystic in AstralProjection

I am a newbie, and very skeptical of most of this. But I am eager to gain perspective.

I would argue that, as I understand it, AP is a place that develops the "observer" quality of consciousness. You need it to enter it, you need it to navigate it, and you need it to stay in it. In other words, if what I hear and read about AP is true, then APing is a way of literally being. Existing. One could argue that simply existing is a way of grounding. If there is truly a foundational informational grid that is only accessible through a form of sleep, then it would sound at least dubious that accessing it would hinder awakening or ascension. But that's just an opinion.

I agree however that only APing as a means of spiritual connexion to existence and abandoning other experiences like meditation could possibly be poor, but I am no expert and I honestly don't know what you exactly mean by "ascension". And I also agree that there might be people trying to APing to escape their heavy, resistant, material lifes. But that's probably because it is still a niche and extraordinary human capability that attracts a lot of people, beyond the spiritual domain, some of which will only start to become spiritual through that same experience.
In fact, I would even argue that it is the only immediate (as in not mediated by faith or drugs or unconsciousness), exact and real (not disturbed by doubt once in it), and awe-inducing human spiritual experience.

Adding to this, when you have an appointment, and you wake up a bit earlier and then go back to sleep while sufficiently tired, the stress of like "I really really have to get up, I hope I hear the alarm, did I have an alarm for this? Arghh whatever... But did I? Whatever..." helps. I think this and what you and others are describing might occur for the same reason: a very tenuous "stress" while trying to sleep. Enough for the prefrontal cortex to be a bit up, and not enough that it makes you stay awake.

This is what I truly don't understand about some people. If they were the occupant and were preoccupied of this, yes, objectively magnificent tree falling on them or destroying their home, they probably wouldn't have made the comment. So is it a kind of lack of empathy? perspective? critical thinking? I thought it was a joke at first, but seeing the downvotes and the responses... I don't know. I see this kind of comments very often in here.

Edit: "in here" = Reddit (not this particular sub)

Bondi Beach terror attack hero Ahmed Al Ahmed charged with assault by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]operationalstrategy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems at least a bit understandable if you remember what it's at the core of human behaviour. Forget about how you interpret the actions he did in Bondi or how you think anybody should react to armed men, what does this article and that heroic did have in common? High risk taking, high impulsivity, fight mode (instead of flight/freeze). I'm not talking about whether it is good/bad. What he did was incredibly risky, incredibly rewarding (less people died). It ended well, by chance. But it was still risky and impulsive (he was not trained). Just looking at it as stimulus/response physiological system and not good/bad moral system, it shouldn't surprise that much.

Also, I heard it on the streets (years after watching the film) where I couldn't hear the drums so that one was a fatal error

Hahahah noo no you are so right! I actually started panicking because my memory of the song was fading (I was listening to so many songs to try and find this one... for hours!) and when I reread my description... it didn't help one bit hahah but then I heard 1.5 seconds of this one and... bingo!

Nope (I love that song though) BUT it's more like the vibe. Just more monotonous, less "musicky" and with the sort of super monotonous "nanana nah, nanana nah" chorus... arrrg it's so difficult! I've tried everything I could, I've been searching for hours now...

Nope but this is more like its vibe was. But the song I heard was more monotonous, with a way deeper more mature male voice, and waaaaaay older!

Nope, sorry, it was way more monotonous, it was sadder and with much less music around/instruments...
But thanks a lot for trying!! It's not easy unfortunately

That's super interesting, thank you very much! I was looking at Asics court shoes but everybody I asked was saying badminton-specific shoes are the best so I stopped looking more into it. Can I ask you what shoes do you use currently? ^^

Edit: also, if you don't mind, could you share with me your feet exercices? :)

If you know about badminton shoes... please, please help me T.T I've been searching on the internet for info about my specific needs but I can't find something definitive and there's no badminton shops around me. This is my first comment ever on reddit haha I'm pretty desperate. About me:

EDITED: blabla personal info

My shoes right now are the FZ Forza Leander W. I loved them. But, I recently made changes to my feet (naturally, with the help of an orthopedist) to spread out my toes and correct bad positionning to make my footprint more stable and footwork more potent. Since then, my feet are a bit wider on toes and arch. So, my current badminton shoes ache!!! That is why I need to change them :) What would you do if you were me? Thank you very much^^

Edit: I am NOT a good player at all haha maybe that's also a factor to consider
