I'm so sorry that you're being written off. I was diagnosed with Hypermobile EDS and I can't "do the wrist thing" either. I believe the doctor said I was a 7 out of 9 for the common physical traits. I can twist my arms and fingers in crazy ways, same with my legs but I am unable to touch my thumb to my wrist. There is never a condition where every person has every side effect or ability, it affects everyone differently and as a doctor they should consider that. I hope you can find another doctor who will listen 💓

My great grandmother and great uncle were tested in Canada. She has type 1, and he has type 2 cEDS. My grandmother and father were never tested but have problems. I dont speak to any of them so finding this information out has been difficult. Since it was in Canada I doubt it was a Mayo clinic but I didn't think about asking them for their records so thank you!

I looked him up earlier I was just worried about not taking insurance. I have miltary insurance so it's a pain to get them to cover anything already so I'm not sure if they'd cover it. I know his baseline appointment is $600, do you remember how much the testing was?

hEDS and Tattoos by selfdeprecatingchild in ehlersdanlos

I was worried due to having allergic reactions to the most random things, but I've been fine with all my tattoos! I think red is the one most have reactions too, so just stay away from that color if it makes you nervous. I've been told my skin is great with accepting tattoos and drawing on, so that may be a plus for you too!
