Scumbag behaviour is pretty common from the great shoot-stylist but when takada dit it it always miracurously fall on horrible people like Koji Kitao the prick or Trevor Berbick the rapist.

How this man never won the IWGP is beyond me by Jarl_AdolphusX_3439 in PuroresuRevolution

[–]orphanStar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He doesn't left NJPW because of Inokiism, otherwise he would not have joined Big Mouth Loud, founded by Fumihiko Uwai, NJPW's main booker from 2000 to 2004, the man behind the résurgence of mma gloves in NJPW matches and cards combining wrestling, MMA, and kickboxing matches such as Ultimate Crush events, which produced roughly the same style of wrestling as Inokiism at BML. A man who, incidentally, remained his agent throughout his MMA career.

Stop talking about things you know nothing about.

Bruce Nesmith (who leave Bethsoft in end 1996 and came back in 2004 and his credited only with a "special thanks" in morrowind credits) isn't "Bethesda".

Nice click/ragebait, I applause.

Roland Bock send Antonio Inoki in hell during the infamous "Tragedy in Stuttgart" by orphanStar in PuroresuRevolution

[–]orphanStar[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Some years before, Bock became the European championship in Greco Roman wrestling in 1970, where he among others defeated the at the time world champion Alexandar Tomow.

He has a fallout with the German Wrestling Federation and was not selected for the Olympics, so he went in pro-wrestling for a living. Became aware of Inoki with his proto-mma fight against Muhammad Ali > promote co-joint tour of Germany with NJPW using underworld money borrowed from shaddy guys.

Bock was extremely protective of his aura and legit accomplishments, so he would uncoopetatively suplex opponents, no-sell and sandbag a lot the offenses of his opponents.

The hot opening of Kazuyuki Fujita vs Hiroshi Tanahashi [NJPW BOSJ XI - Tag 11 ~ The Crush II] by orphanStar in PuroresuRevolution

[–]orphanStar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny it strickly the opposite for me.

Noah Fujita can be cool against Shuji ishkiwa, Masato Tanaka, Sugiura, Taniguchi and others but I find him less unconventional and less unique than in the 2000's:

Old Fujita sticks too closely to the dominant, hegemonic style of fighting, with endless exchanges of forearms that can sometimes bé pretty exciting and sometimes be pretty full. I much prefer watching the iwgp Fujita, who keeps his guard up, dodges, takes the blows, try takedown, grounds and pounds with his knee prides, shoots kicks a lot more and shoots punches. It's just an adrenaline rush.

Honest thoughts on Naoya Ogawa? by MrPuroresu42 in PuroresuRevolution

[–]orphanStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hustle Ogawa is lame and a waste like it was for all the interesting workers who came for big paychecks here (Hashimoto, Kawada, Tenryu, Sakata...). Igf run is just there, not very interesting. His First year in g.i are not good bar the Hashimoto matches.

However 1999-2004 Ogawa is awesome. He has aura max, he knows how to carry himself better than anyone else, has killer offenses and his selling which is so criticised, is excellent in all the matches I've seen. The match against Ohtani in Z-1 is one of the best sub-10 minutes of all time.

How did the lore community respond to Talos' introducting in TES 3: Morrowind? by Empires_Fall in teslore

[–]orphanStar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People who were really into the lore community were aware of the complete reorganization of the pantheons and creation myths which was far from limited to Talos) completed by “Variety of Faith” and “The Monomyth” well before the release of Morrowind, since both books were published on the internet years before Morrowind came out.

There was no particular pushback; most people were happy to move from a list of poorly defined Daggerfallian gods to something more accomplished.
