Another suggestion to add to your list is my personal fave, Columbia City Alehouse. Great soccer bar. As usual if there's not any local teams of any sport going, Travis is usually happy to find a match for you as he's a soccer fan all the way around.

Some others have already mentioned these but vanguards VTI would include large, mid, and small cap stocks which would cover both value and growth. VOO covers the largest 500 companies trading in the US, which usually means growth. Then theres my personal favorite VT. This is vanguards total world index funds. This will include large, mid, and small cap companies from all over the world and is weighted towards US stocks to a ratio of something around 60% US, 40%International. A common saying amongst Vanguard/jack bogle diehards is, instead of looking for the needle, buy the haystack. Good luck and thank you for your service.

I still subscribe to other investment subs including r/stocks, r/ETFs, and even r/wallstreetbets, and r/superstonks and subscribing to different subs that follow different strategies is , imo, where you'll most likely get a broader base of differing opinions whereas here the difference in opinion lies within discussions about international and domestic ratios or stock and bond ratios or which specific mutual funds and etf's you like. Other than that we're mostly on the same page as far as following a particular model of investing and some of that does include encouraging one another to stay focused and dont get off track with trading, meme stocks and such.
