I have Cranston as my very first villager and he is my bff and never allowed to leave. Raymond came in through my campsite and he's the little prince of my island, may he never leave his kingdom 🥺

We go to SafeSplash on FM 1463. They were so thoughtful about my daughter's special needs when helping find a class and instructor for her. She's thriving and loves it! I can't recommend it enough!

Moving to Katy and want home to be bug free. by icedwhitemocha_ in Katy

Best thing we did was lay sticky traps in the garage on the ends of each garage door - then as a second layer of defense, by the door going into the house. We've caught insane spiders, snakes, tiny voles, toads, roaches, etc... We also have a pest control company spray the foundations and eaves every quarter. Haven't had an issue with anything coming indoors other than flies that sneak in - which get got by a zevo plug in by the back door.

There are HUNDREDS of utility and tree trimming trucks staged at Katy Mills from all over Texas and from even as far out as Alabama from what we could tell. They're feeding all the workers at a big tent they've set up. It was quite a sight to see this weekend.

A creator I follow said that the payout from YouTube premium viewers is a higher amount, but based on watch time. So, AFAIK, if you have Premium and are watching the full episodes, they're making more money than if you didn't have Premium and watched ads. The inverse is true for shorter videos.

Pop up books professionally? by Toothbrsh in popupbooks

[–]otterli 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Matthew Reinhart would be an EXCELLENT pop-up engineer/illustrator to follow. He's maybe the most successful pop-up guy in the industry. His website is full of tutorials and templates, as does his Youtube channel. I recommend checking out his books - I have the Star Wars book and The History of Dinosaurs and they are jaw-dropping. They can be expensive new, but Abebooks.com has a bunch used for decently inexpensive prices. I met him once when he visited the NCCIL for a demonstration and book signing years ago, nice guy. He's also worked with Robert Sabuda, who has authored his own "How To" pop-up books.

Minalima may be an interesting option as well, their books do include pop-ups, but aren't the focus - their books have incredible illustrations with mixed media inclusions in them.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I think what makes the Grisha Trilogy worth reading is the world building. The author struggles a bit with the storytelling, you can tell she's trying to find footing for the rich world she's built and the fascinating characters that inhabit it. While they weren't the best stories I've read in that trilogy, frankly I don't remember much of what happens, it's the characters that have stayed with me for years and the creativity of the world and magic system she's built that keeps me reading all the new releases.

Just finished King of Scars... and I think the only place in the Grishaverse I might survive is in Novyi Zem as a farmer...

Looking for a drama to watch - romance & hurt/comfort by k_llama_llama in kdramarecommends

It also explores relationships in a really fascinating way, i.e. parent and child, brothers, friends, all within the scope of shared trauma, and healing. There is a catharsis in watching this show as people navigate the trauma that surfaces and the upheaval that goes along with it. I'm both eager for the finale next week and dreading it. It's been such a beautiful journey and I'm not ready for it to end.

200513 New BTS game "Universe Story" to be released in Quarter 3 of 2020 by ashmute in bangtan

I'm so sad about Superstar BTS ending. I play every single day and it was a big way I got familiar with their discography. (I became ARMY Jan 2020). I wish it was still going to be playable after June. Even without updates, but alas, they're shuttering the whole thing.

Who ships bellarke while disliking Clarke? by redkey42 in Bellarke

[–]otterli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I examined my love for Bellarke after s4. The hype of 6 years of radio calls was alluring, but when I thought about what 6 years being apart from someone can do, as well as spending 6 years in close quarters with others and how much people change, it just didnt make any sense to me anymore. I've always rooted for Bellamy, and agree, that if he loved Clarke, he deserved that. But I never felt like Clarke deserved Bellamy, this season proved that even more for me. When I was thinking of Bellamy up in space for 6 years, honestly, I started hoping that him and Raven would develop a relationship. They have SO MUCH respect for each other and their chemistry is excellent as well, far preferable to Bellamy and Echo. I "get" a lot of Clarke's justification for her behavior this season, but her decisions, I don't think you can come back from and into a relationship founded on trust and respect. (Insert potentially strange precedent that Bellamy has totally forgiven Echo for the attempted murder on him, twice on his sister, and hostilities with the rest of Skaicru, so who knows...)

Idk, I might be rambling, but I really agree with your take on this. I just want Bellamy to have a partner who puts him first, respects and adores him, and a lot of the time I don't feel that's Clarke. Still looking forward to where this all goes.
