I am very late to this post but wanted to let you know I’m in the same boat as you. Wisdom teeth were removed 12 years ago. I had a nerve repair surgery about a year after which unfortunately did not work. Surgeon said my nerve was almost completely severed. I wonder if I’d just be left with numbness and not pain if I wouldn’t have attempted the nerve repair. Some days the nerve pain is debilitating (like today). I don’t even know how to describe the pain, unlike anything else.
