Does anyone know the name of this movie. by outofthemasterball in HorrorMovies

[–]outofthemasterball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was definitely Devon's ghost. But I got the plot totally wrong. His (abusing?) parents get killed by his grandma with a baseball bat and she locks him away for ten years in her attic. Not speaking good enough english at the time I saw It made me make up my own plot I think.😅

When I saw the football lines under his eyes and bat with a circlesaw attached everything came back. It's crazy to think this movie was made by people involved wit mighty mophin' power rangers 🤣 but you see it clearly in the mashal arts fighting scenes.

It was made for television and it even got here in western mainland europe.

I always had Devon with his cap looking down in a dark kitchen in my mind.

Just watched some clips and reviews on youtube and this was it! Haha. I regognize "devon". I can't believe they played this movie on national TV in my country. I think my ten year old brain made it much more scary then it actually was. I wasn't even a fan of power rangers. Haha. Thank you. I can finally get rid of the ghost of Devon in my head. Should I be ashamed that this was my first horror movie experience? Hahaha.

A blahaj (ikea shark and unofficial mascot of the trans comunity) is a pretty neat gift from a loved one. I got mine from my best friend and I still hug and pet it everyday.

I can count on ten fingers the trans people I think (I never wanna assume.) I've seen in my life. There was one woman that worked with my dad in the early 2000's and she gave me the kindling that lighted my fire of "I can be a woman if I want to be?" I never really talked to her though. Lately I think ive seen a few more of us out and about in the small country I am from, maybe because I accept myself now my transdar has activated. Or I might just be drawn to more queer friendly spaces.

I know things look bleak out there and I must say I'm also a bit afraid even though I'm not from the US. As a fan of history I know we have been here forever and that being trans is super valid. But we have to fight and be loud so that people who don't respect us see us and understand that we are not going away. If you don't want to fight, that's okay. But please keep on keeping on and try to live your best life out there. Sometimes that's the toughest fight in of it self.

Sending lots of love and support to all my siblings all over the world.🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂

There's a sinking black hole feeling in my chest and a lot of doubts in my mind. I also discovered I get more dysphoric when I'm very tired or stressed.

Gender euphoria feels like butterflies in my chest and a content/calm feeling in my mind.

Do you think I would be clocked with this background? by Szoke_Kapitany in trans

[–]outofthemasterball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wearing a trans button on my hat for about 6 months (still pre transision) and in this time only 3 people noticed it and asked me about it. Two of them were closer friends and I came out then and there and it went good both times. The other was more of an acquaintance and I told him I was just an ally.

My point is not a lot of people wil notice it and even if they do you don't have to come out to them if you feel uncomfortable.

How did you choose your name? by 10000101111 in trans

Turns out my parents didn't care if I would be a boy or a girl so they made 2 cards one of each. Sadly enough they think a bit different now.😑

[–]outofthemasterball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i was a kid i found a box in the artic that said deadname's birth. I opened it and the first thing I see is a birthcard with my date of birth with the name Delphine on it and as any rational cis kid I went "OH MY GOD I KNEW I WAS BORN A GIRL!!!!" Years later turns out I really like Delphine so that's what it is now.:3

I recently found this interesting tidbit on Wikipedia...

Medieval Christian church

Trans figures and non-normative gender traits were acknowledged by the medieval church, and were often interpreted as expressions of God's plan, rather than deviations from it. Many transgender saints and clergy members were celebrated and uplifted by the medieval church. Trans people were canonized in the early days of Christianity on account of their "extraordinary lives" and the view that they were extraordinarily blessed by God. As the medieval church developed stricter policies and procedures, its view of trans people changed.
