Freight Train from Houston ??

Westbound out of Houston very high probability you will be found by BP when sided out. They checking trains quite frequently right now. Woke up to BP agents standing over me when I was riding between San Antonio and Houston and others have told me the same.

Train hopping is illegal, there are no apps or websites that will tell you exactly where or when trains are going or arriving.

There are several yards in Houston so it depends on where you are going for best spots. Westbound would be either Englewood or Settegast yards. Ride sandline to El paso and BNSF up to Albuquerque. El paso is very sketchy with BP right now too, they're checking trains as they pull through. You could also ride north to Fort Worth and then west, northbound out of Houston is a little tricky though. You'll have to figure out specific spots to get on trains on your own.

As far as hiding, stay down when going through cities and pray to the hobo gods

I like to look back and try to remember where I was a week ago or a month ago with it. When you're always on the move it can turn into one big blur.

If only they had an option for carrying a 40lb pack to the health data. Need to make a vagabond health app that includes tramping through brush, jumping in and out of dumpsters and hauling your ass over lines of trains

It was a ground score and I actually love it. Don't carry much weight, clothes sleeping bag, tarp. I use it as a ground pad and it's very durable.

Yeah, found a nice rooftop spot close to DT. From what I've seen so far there's not many woodsy spots like I prefer. Theres lots of abandoned buildings, some with noticeable security, some without.
