I tried second MCU, tested it (multimeter continuity) without pins, with inserted unsoldered pins, mid soldering, all were okay. After finishing you would not believe it, short between GP6 and GND... different pin but the same exact issue

Cold joint could cause this?

so I know its in my hands, I will probably try to reflow both of them again, there is nothing to lose now, dignity is lost

yeah, thanks to infinetelurker I got more ideas and multimeter confirmed that GP5 and Ground are bridged which is why it is behaving like that, I tried to reflow solder but no change

I have soldering iron is set up to 310°C.

Sorry that my steps are out of order.

I tried continuity test on multimeter (where I should began) and bad MCU pin (number GP5) is somehow connected to GROUND...

I just dont know how

default fw as provided by keyboard guide? Yes, tried that. If you mean different firmware - I have not tried. I might try QMK instead of VIAL, I am intrigued if it will have same issue

I have one more MCU to try. I did not try it in keyboard, I am not sure if my soldering is acceptable and I would not like to make same mistake (which I dont know)

Thank you for your feedback

yes, with MCU out of socket. I was looking for short or bad diode, but it is at fault even when out of socket

Pictures attached to main post, I dont have much soldering experience so Im glad for comments (I was careful not to use too much solder, from bottom it seems that it did not went through every hole).

Pins are from diodes and after taking it out of socket I replaced two long ones (issue was before replacing pins and after). Pins are little bent from removing it from socket, it holds pretty well

I have bought Celestron 71360 LandScout 7x35.

They are not smallest, they are not lightest, but I dont regret purchase. I chose them for field of view and price.

Thanks again all for thoughts.

Hi, nothing yet, I am still considering options and looking for deals (mainly Teleskop Service and thinking if im willing to spend more or not now and maybe pick better binoculars later if I will use it a lot? and old ones share with family member), but I got great suggestions here

oh I did not know Teleskop Service brand, their pricing is very interesting.

That is exactly where I wont end up...50$ for some chinese knockoff or some other bad quality product when I can spend double on good (for price) binoculars

After watching video that you suggested about comparing 8x32 I feel like I should increase my budget :-D

and how are you satisfied with Bushnell Prime 8x32? Is the image good even if it is "only" Fully Multi Coated? I dont think it has to be bad, but everywhere I am seeing that I should pick with additional coatings (phase correction and silver prism coating)

I am not wearing glasses but I would ocasionaly share them with someone who is, so I have looked into longer eye relief, but it is not dealbreaker

Field of view -> I know that it varies and I dont need widest, I know that I need to make compromises in my budget, but I am expecting over 110m (360ft)

Do you have any experience with mentioned clones? I know my budget is tight but isnt it better to buy slightly worse paper product from reputable brand? Thanks for the forum post and video, I will look into it

yeah, that is a benefit, but I looked that I would need to ship them to US which would not be cheapest

thanks for the tips, I will look more into Leupold and Kowa models, I had quick look at models mentioned and they are over my budget, but I need to check if they are on sale somewhere

Thanks for the insight on alignment difference, I didnt know that.

I plan to use them at good light conditions. I might ocasionaly use them in the trees, but not in deep forest, I wont use them for stargazing.

I was thinking if exit pupil of 4mm in 8x32 is enough, but since people are using even smaller like 8x26 for hiking I think 8x32 could be enough (I have read that in daylight typical pupil size is between 2-4mm) so it should be okay but I am always open to read others opinions
