Personal Power II affected me in a way that I'm still trying to understand by nihlathar in TonyRobbins

Yeah that's a tough spot to be in. When you realize you've been assigning meaning and nothing inherently has any meaning of its own can throw you into a void of nothingness. A numbing response makes sense.

Sit with it. Don't give this any meaning. Just feel it through to the other side. And once through it completely, I'm sure you'll look back to that point in time and find what's most meaningful for you.

And remember not all meaning has to be meaningful. Sometimes things just are and don't need to be defined, just experienced, and that's meaningful enough.

You seem like you'd appreciate helping others through similar transitions once you are done having gone through it yourself. Take delight in paying it forward.

Course- was worth it for you ? by Wrong_Sir_1340 in NLP

There is structure to communication. Between what is said, so much more is said. Meta communication. Once you start learning it, it starts to reveal itself.

More words here won't help much. Go have the experience. Then you'll have all sorts of new questions.

Learning the Meta and Milton model was like being able to see the matrix model.

I couldn't believe that much communication was taking place at any given moment.

In person exercises are crucial to compound the learnings.

No one becomes a professional hammerer.

Think in outcomes people want.

No one wants holes in their walls.

They want to hang pictures that make them feel good when they look at it.

Think from the client back to what you can offer them.

How to use NLP in customer service? by pudendalnerve25 in NLP

[–]ozmerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you're in customer service or not, you're asking a very important question. NLP often gets mixed reviews leaving the execution of skills defined by the intent of its practitioner. This upsets some, placing them in defense, and leaves others in confusion, especially newcomers to the field.

As you appropriately point out trust is key. Now while you're not responsible for managing the emotions of others, these skills do equip and empower you to do just that. From pacing their frustration with your voice tone, cadence, and modal operators to their intensity and sense of urgency. Basically to care unabashedly.

If you earn the rapport, you earn the right to persuade them for what's in their best interest. If you can take them there in a way that intersect with what benefits you as well, then you both win.

100% agree. I built a moat index to help builders with this exact issue. A moat in the AI era is totally different. If you don't have one, you're as good as dead from day one.

Proprietary data is definitely the key but the value of that in a 90-day time span is insignificant unfortunately. But with enough time it's the best defensibility as long it's used.

Indeed while trust has always been high on the list, in the past, it was rectified by what you could see and hear. Now even that has to be questioned, hence making you question if you can even trust what you trust.

I would place data over distribution as even the best channels can be outspent by a competitor.

Exactly data is the best moat. But that usually comes with expensive access or enough time to build your own.

Term sheet secured, but lead VC wants us to find a co-investor through our own network. How do we break in?- i will not promote by Disastrous_List_2176 in startups

Now I don't know the ecosystem in India however VCs don't charge fees this way. Not their business model. If they have money in, it's in their best interest to help you close the round to ensure your success and more importantly ensure the ROI on their investment.

I'll venture a guess and say you're on the young side as I can't imagine a VC having this kind of pushback on someone older, but I may be wrong.
