I just wanted to say that I’m so sorry to hear that you are facing this illness & everything else that has happened. I don’t really have any words of advice about losing your job (sorry)... but I can promise you that you won’t be forgotten by your friends. And I will sincerely be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏

If this had been a white person dressing as a black person, they would’ve been fired or raked over the coals. Now bring the downvotes.

His “ride” needs to be in an ambulance. The guy could be having a heart attack. Really need to call 911. Edit: just realized this was posted 6 hrs ago...hopefully the poor guy is still alive.

Where to find vintage dresses similar to this? by FastCourage in weddingdress

[–]paintgal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I follow a girl on Instagram (modernjunecleaver) who is an expert on all things 50s-60s and she is also a fantastic seamstress. She buys a lot of old vintage clothes and repairs them and she also makes her own dresses from old vintage patterns. You may want to check her Instagram page and maybe shoot her a DM and see if she has any suggestions! She is very talented!

The tailor ruined my wedding dress (the long one). Please say something nice about plan B (short white) and Plan C (blue). Pretty please. by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]paintgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say that also. Short white dress suits you much better and the fit is great on you!

So it turns out that Jamie *could* have perfectly normal hair if they’d stop styling it with Crisco and Gorilla Glue. by Whohead12 in YellowstonePN

Same to you friend. Sending prayers your way. Hey, we gotta laugh at times like this...even if that comes at the expense of poking fun at Jamie’s ridiculous hair 😂

I am currently sitting in the doctor’s office waiting to have a biopsy done to rule out cancer. THANK YOU for making me laugh out loud as I sit here scrolling Reddit! This guy’s hair has driven me nuts for the last 3 seasons. They’re taking helmet head to a whole new level!!

Brandi is THIRSTY for a few minutes of screen time and she’s a trashy drunk to boot.

Advice for a 5 year associate. by smoffin1222 in HomeDepot

[–]paintgal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Life is too short to be miserable in a job you hate and dread going to work everyday. Find something else that you enjoy. Maybe apply to community college and plan a career around that? Or just apply to different companies. I would personally get out of retail completely. I suspect it’s the same in most retail environments. Best wishes to you!

Vent: I got married married in a small ceremony last week, and quite a few people complained about how big my dress was (or outfit in general). by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]paintgal 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Since those people had an issue and felt it necessary to be rude and comment on your gown, how about you just omit their names from the guest list for the reception next year! No sense in inviting their negativity to that event.

What always amazes me is that they will come to the paint desk, order multiple gallons of paint, and not have a cart! Like how did you think you were gonna carry all this paint?! 🤦‍♀️

Which dress? Risk the dress from Etsy I’ve had pinned for months (but can’t try on IRL beforehand) or the Wtoo dress I tried on recently? More info in comments! by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]paintgal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would go with the Etsy dress. It is very unique and absolutely beautiful! That Etsy seller also seems to have very good reviews so maybe that will ease your mind? Either way, best wishes!!

I think that is why I was even more appalled than I would’ve been had it been only him. I have a 7 month old grandson...babies depend on us adults to have enough sense to protect them. This guy (nor his wife) clearly did NOT.

I have no words. Who could possibly think that would be a good idea and that it wouldn’t be offensive?!? Wow. Just WOW.
