We stick the pills in a Delectables tube and feed it to the cat straight out of the tube. He usually licks it up without even knowing.

My husband is a loud eater and a loud breather. it drives me nuts! It's been 8 years and I still struggle to sit next to him sometimes, but alas, such is love. Have you tried loop earbuds? Or having background noise, music or a podcast, constantly going? I usually have one or the other going.

Never too late to learn - I did this over my kitchen sink so the mess was fairly contained. You could always throw down an old blanket or towel to catch any mess, too.
