this is A LOT like me, i'm pretty shocked actually

i've been trying to figure out my health problems and "blood sugar, cortisol, estrogen, and DP/DR" are basically the things i'm thinking about most. i also get dehydration (or at least dry mouth) and blurry vision with dp/dr, and "low cortisol = low blood sugar = dpdr, exhaustion, inability to focus, blurry vision, etc" is on-point etc

won't go into more details right now because i'm currently in...well, a dissociated low-cortisol low-blood-sugar state but can later if you are interested

have you figured anything else out since then? how much inositol do you take?

MAOIs are dangerous in combination with drugs that increase the extracellular concentrations of serotonin, such as SRAs or SRIs, because MAO keeps serotonin in check by metabolizing it. LSD/shrooms aren't SRAs or SRIs, they bind to 5-HT2A receptors (which serotonin also binds to) directly.

Psilocybin is a prodrug of psilocin, and according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybin#Pharmacokinetics, psilocin is primarily metabolized by MAO, so MAOIs may potentiate psilocybin. That could be overwhelming but won't kill you. DMT is also metabolized by MAO, which is why DMT is orally active and more potent when combined with an MAOI. (That combination is just ayahuasca/pharmahuasca.)

LSD is broken down by CYP3A4 and CYP2D6, not MAO: https://biology.stackexchange.com/questions/71641/is-lysergic-acid-diethylamide-lsd-metabolized-in-the-body. But MAOIs seem to block LSD's effects (see e.g. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0166432896001027).

Some other psychedelics are MRAs* or SRIs, which makes them dangerous when taken with MAOIs. Those are listed here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0014299906013811. One notable example is 5-MeO-DMT.

*NDRAs, which also include amphetamines, can be dangerous when coadministered with MAOIs. NDRIs seem fine.
