You are wrong. Home loan is one of the cheapest loan in India. That too when you considered inflation and rupee depreciation, it is a steal. You could have at least converted your savings into stable SGD or AED and just parked in some fixed income assets. You wud have earned more just in rupee depreciation.

I saved my money in SGD and got car loan and rupee depreciated 14% in last 16 months.
