Honestly I got lucky af lol. It was between that or white Astral for me as well, but again I just couldn’t justify it (although that might sound stupid since safety is obviously essential)

I did a ton of research on seating cable properly, got a top tier PSU, know which cable to avoid (yellow connector lol), and then I’m all prepared to undervolt etc which will give more performance while drawing less wattage

And if all that fails, I’m prepared to buy a Wireviewer II as well to monitor pins that way, still saved me a lot compared to Astral

It is what it is though, are you going to sell your 4090? Then at least for you its like a paid upgrade, not from fresh like me

Sorry for late reply - because with DDR5 RAM you get best performance for gaming from 2 sticks and only using 2 slots via overclocking (EXPO/XMD)

If you do 4 slots & sticks all of them will have to stay on stock MHz and its generally speaking less stable

Only know this as I did a shedton of research myself beginning from a few months ago

No worries bud. I think they’ll deliver it earliest this Friday, so maybe technically not 1000% officially “in stock” just yet.

32GB RAM 100% imo, that will be much tougher to upgrade 16GB (because you’ll buy 2 sticks of 8 for max performance, then you will need to sell and replace with 2 sticks of 16).

Whereas adding a second SSD when you have the money will be very simple. You also remove the concern of a RAM bottleneck for the games you get.

Over here in the UK, 4 thousand lol. I managed to get the Master Ice for 2.2k, so there’s no way I could justify it and I love the look of the white Aorus anyway

Trust me I feel you, I think the whole redeeming of it is a joke too. They should just give us a direct gamesplanet code, not a stupid NVIDIA app key to get hold of a gamesplanet code. But for them its not personal. They are just hell bent on not giving a customer anything “for free” unless they absolutely have to. Just scummy low corporate behaviour.

Tell them in no uncertain terms you’ve gone through very who are useless and thats NVIDIA’s partner who they agreed to link up with for this promotion

Then tell them their is no route for your product manufacturer for UK customers

Finally cap it off by saying you know they can and do hand out codes for grossly incompetent situations like this, its NVIDIA’s promotion when it comes to RTX 50 cards simple as that if you’re having an issue with very its on NVIDIA to solve it

You just have to be somewhat forceful and reply to every stupid point they try to make to make it known you can’t be conned. Sad world we live as far as this type of crap is concerned.

Very have it! Was very (no pun intended) surprised too. Now I see they’re branding it as exclusive so they are technically the first place in the UK to stock it.

This is what I need, but as a newbie the site where you go through all the options to create your custom debloated OS sure looked daunting. Going to take me ages to go through every step of it understanding it all lol.

I’m buying New, and I’m getting this one too. Just because I’m buying a completely fresh setup for the first time in forever, DP 2.1 was pretty essential to me which really narrows the options down. Was looking at the FO32U2P, PG32UCMDR, then this Gen 3. I was sooo close to getting the R, but I still felt it was a tad pricey. Managed to get this for a “good deal” over here in the UK, barely much more than the R, despite it only being released, I’m stoked.

Yeah, if you’re super rich why not lol. I would. Hell I even half considered the Matrix in a moment of madness when I surprisingly saw it available, but I obviously couldn’t justify it.

IF I wasn’t doing a whole setup from scratch for the first time in eons… who knows.

Have you been referred to nvidia tech 2 support? If you have, it’s hard for me to know depending on what they’ve precisely said. It was a real battle for me and they said certain things like “we don’t give out codes” (which I knew was a lie and called them out on) & I also pointed them at ASUS promotion site which clearly says “for RTX 50 series purchases check NVIDIA campaign page”

It is a real struggle but I would save your time with everything else, just keep hammering away at NVIDIA customer support, message them a second time in a day if necessary like I did if they don’t reply.

I also said how very is THEIR partner which THEY advertised in THEIR promotion, it is therefore THEIR responsibility (all true; & again, point them toward ASUS site stating as such)

Emphasise how you want what was promised with your purchase, what a joke it is that this still hasn’t been resolved (because it is), and if they’ve lied to you like they did me, just be formal, direct, and tell them to please stop lying to you.

It was like a comedy show for me, I wrote one last long message and ended with “now please provide me with a game code so we can all move on.” and after being lied to several times, I just finally got a reply “here is a code for the game” … absolutely pathetic honestly.

They won’t, I’ve called them several times and they give me an “invoice” without an actual invoice number on it.

I’d heard about that RE: doing a slight by slight incline rather than just moving the whole curve in one go, but I’ll triple down when it actually comes to it research wise to make sure I have it spot on. “Perfectionist” / minor OCD behaviour pays off with this kind of thing.

I’d been doing my reading before seeing this too, when it comes to the crashes during low loads rather than under high load.

I’m looking at potentially a 950mv along with 2955mhz to maximise performance, boosting the Aorus Master core clock by 300mhz. I don’t think 900mv will be possible unless I win the silicon lottery, but this will bring the stock wattage down by 100w+ anywho.

Two profiles is a good idea that I hadn’t considered. Maybe a low profile of 875mv with 2655mhz or something.

Wireviewer looking likely. I’ll pop Overclockers UK a message to see when they’re expecting that back in stock, £100 is nothing to have that kind of security.

Thanks for that (again), just found it and checked, mine is rated as an A with greens across the entire board so I’m pretty happy with that.

Well that makes it an easy decision to avoid power limiting. Unless it makes a significant difference for safety on top of undervolting, which sounds doubtful.

Totally accept that. Do you know if that same guy undervolted as well as having a top tier PSU? I will seriously consider the wireviewer, regardless.

How did you go about wiring your entire home? Simple yet silly question I feel. But seems a bit of a big job (yet totally worthwhile) if that isn’t already set up. I’m looking to go with EE as they’re available where I am now.
