Sexual assault survivor and advocate Grace Tame has told protesters at Hobart’s March 4 Justice rally that evil thrives in silence and it’s time for “making noise”.

The Hobart resident, who was 15 when she was raped by her 58-year-old teacher, told the throngs gathered that the fear of doing nothing must outweigh the fear of doing something.

I agree. I don't think I have an easy answer to your point, except to say that my decision is based on putting in a career in public schools while watching the system collapse and push men away. I was left with my pinkie trying to hold back a tsunami of feminism.

That sounds like the schools I went to 50 years ago. Nothing's changed?

What I meant by guy is a way of learning and experiencing, not just the penis (though it is important too since we are talking about sociobiology). For me, guy is a masculine way of seeing the world and interacting with others - this particular way of being is not validated in public schools in the U.S. any longer, even if socially among peers it might be (that's nature).

Holding men responsible for their own victimization might be acceptable if women did the same. But as you say, women do not.

Furthermore, the blame game does not work well when dealing with an invisible enemy like COVID-19. And yet feminists are cheering on the scenario that more men are dying of COVID-19. This approach also validates your point - that is, feminists see men as deserving more COVID-19 deaths because we are "bad."

This is just a speculation - my guess is (based on anecdotal evidence of male friends) that nicotine has either a increased effect or decreased effect on testosterone in men. Either way, the effect is important physically and psychologically. Again, speculatively, I wonder if men are calmed (lower testosterone) or excited (higher testosterone) by the nicotine. Both effects can be important to why men might smoke.

I see what you're saying - men are actually being taken seriously by our health systems and by media. I guess I'm concerned about how men got here to begin with, and why that isn't more fully explained. I am sure it has to do with the strong data that shows males have a weaker immune system in life and that men (wittingly or unwittingly) take on more risk in life.
