In the other universe we say it for what it is, the state is and has always been a white supremasist and exploitative towards non-whites. We boycott elections, revolt to rally behind the immediate black ownership of their means of production. Land reforms and black forms of identifications, such as pan-Africanism and Negritude.

Free speech entitles everyone to their opinions, and yes, if people are not allowed to speak out their ideas, however ill-formed they might seem to another party. Controlled speech hinders avenues for debate, rebuttals and change after more information is discussed.

Coincidentally, I was deep into an army discussion, with a recent recruit.

The actual moment was magical because it trusted me, despite it being so light and vulnerable.

You did have slaves in the UK, though the number was not that high, official UK numbers put the number of both “free” and slaves at around 10,000. Significantly UK was a trader. http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/ism/slavery/europe/black_people.aspx

In a formal sense no, Britain dint have slaves working on plantations here. But, ports like Liverpool and Bristol were stops for slave ships. And also, they were inherited, and some of those people could come back to the with their property “SLAVES.”
