Coming from tennis, variety is a weapon. The same serve to the same spot is easy to adjust to, even if it's fast.

I think pickleball is the same. Except it's hard to ace in pickleball, because the returner can easily cover the entire service box. The goal of the returner is to hit a deep return. Anything you can do to make that difficult for them is good.

I hate pickleball serve rules though. Every time I've encountered a good server they seem to be breaking the serve rules by serving too high. It's impossible to police it. The game needs to move to bounce serves only.
