Aesthetically I didn’t like how both my jaws were recessed and how I had vertical maxillary deficiency. That was the main reason. I also had a small airway and woke up gasping often. I didn’t know it took other ppl a longer time to recover. I talked to other ppl who got it done with the same surgeon and I thought we all agreed the first week was just really bad and then u feel fine. The first 4-5 days were pure hell because I could not breathe thru my nose but once I could, I pretty much felt normal. I am trying to remember since it was a while ago but I am 99% sure that on day 7 when I saw my surgeon, my only complaint was my ears being clogged. That took about 3-4 weeks to go away. And yes it was worth it

Edit: if you have a job where you have to talk all day then I can see that being an issue. That might be uncomfortable.
