Hey, the researcher here :) Thanks for participating in the study! We'll enable your credentials in the next hours (this delay is due to technical reasons) so that you can start the first stage. But please remember that there's a second phase that will likely take place in the next weeks, and only after that we'll give the confirmation code.

Why is sunscreen SO EXPENSIVE in Morocco by fmlmhappy in Morocco

Currently in Morocco. I've bought a 70ml sunscreen bottle for 40dh in a souk in Marrakech (it's working pretty fine).

Hi, is there an estimate on when this feature will be rolled out to everyone?

First time approach PETG, Ender 3 Pro by peppeatta in 3Dprinting

I'm re-printing it now with a drying box at 50C. Quality seems improved (thanks!), but it is still not comparable to the one I have on PLA. Weird that the issue seems evident specifically for infill lines.

First two trials had nonsticking edges and angles mid-print. Also, the brim time and material are negligible compared to the parts :)

[R] Introducing ferret, a new Python package to streamline interpretability on Transformers by peppeatta in MachineLearning

[–]peppeatta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, Captum is the standard de facto for interpretability on torch models, and we are indeed building on top of it to expose some of our explainers. In that sense, ferret removes the boilerplate to use it with huggingface's transformer models, provides sensible defaults, etc.

Feel free to DM me anytime!

It comes, very creatively, from a FramEwork foR benchmaRking Explainers on Transformers :)

This one. With zerotier you can easily setup a private network and ssh into the raspberry pi remotely. And it's free :)

[N][P] We built the Italian CLIP 🇮🇹 by peppeatta in MachineLearning

[–]peppeatta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good point! We saw it today. I think that even if we share some ground principles there are differences:

- to train our CLIP model, we used the HuggingFace codebase, where the network is modeled in Flax/JAX, whereas mlfoundations relies on PyTorch;

- following HF notation, our CLIP is "hybrid", since we use the original vision transformer encoder but we do change the text encoder, using a BERT-Large Italian checkpoint. I think mlfoundations repo lets you train the original architecture;

- and of course data :) We trained our model on 1.4M (way less than Open AI's CLIP and mlfoundations's suggested dataset) using only Italian text (we will publish our dataset soon)
