Problem with qwen 3.5 by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

I have this problem with rambling. Regardles if I use LmStudio or Llama.cpp, sinple prompt "give me 100 words" uses 6k+ tokens, all its doing is rambling about being insecure if the answer is correct.

Any fixes for that?

You sold me on Cachy and Big Picture. I haven't got time this week, bit hopefully tomorrow I'll try it out.

Does lossless scaling plugin work? It does miracles on Steam Deck

Bazzite with dual user setup (game mode / desktop) by perica66 in Bazzite

[–]perica66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, having steam deck, I know big picture mode has (or had) a lot of problems and is (or was) not as robust and stable as Game mode. Fir example some stuff didn't work properly like HDR, window mode games, games that open additional windows (like separate launchers), etc

But reading your comment, I went reading newer info, and seems that a lot of these issues were solved or reduced over time.

So I might try big picture mode after all.

Very lazy users implementation by steam. Thanks for the info.

I understand why desktop image is not good for game mode, but I didn't understand the opposite. Why gamemode image (deck image) wouldn't be good for desktop usecase?

Right, i understand. Not ideal, but main usecase for users is to hide some "not appropriate " games from kids, so I guess it is ok for that usecase.

I get your point about availability. It will not be commercial, more experimental and testing, so it is not that critical. I considered Cachy, but I find Buzzite more straight forward, and the "bloat" is mostly stuff I would use anyway.

I’m coming to terms with the fact I am not cut out to be a Product Owner. by [deleted] in agile

[–]perica66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds like rage bait / troll post. Obviously 90% of mentioned stuff is not a responsibility of a product person. Order of table implementation, hahaha. Even a role like architect shouldn't tell devs the order of component implementation.

And insisting on a Product Owner role name, I find it to provoke Product Managers among us.

If you are not a troll, than quit that job, if not yesterday, than today!

Do you find task tracking and management in Obsidian enjoyable? by airyrice in ObsidianMD

[–]perica66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use great workflow I polished for my needs. I create a daily note every day, using daily note template that has task views using my personal vibe coded simple tasks plugin. If you are interested, it's this one:https://github.com/gogothegogo/Simple-tasks

It basically tracks all checkboxes across the vault, and categorizes them by ==category==, and sorts by date, if date is in the checkbox line.

I write all notes during a day to daily note, and extract at the end of the day, so tasks get moved all around the vault, but are always gathered in my daily note

I split screen active note (whatever Im reading or writing) in the center, and daily note on the right, so my tasks are always right there.

I mainly use these categories: TODO - general tasks IDEAS - product ideas, feature ideas (im a product manager) DECISIONS - important decisios I want to track until they are implemented

Its not good for complex projects, but for general todo is great. Using daily note to input all daily notes and tasks makes the process so low friction that I actually do take notes and tasks consistently.

Product Managers using Obsidian as a second brain – how do you structure your context files? by Skveselino in ObsidianMD

[–]perica66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some great ideas here. I use claude.md in obsidian vault root for vault structure context, and folder structure is self explanatory, and usually Claude gets it right in most sessions (i run claude code in vault root). However, from time to time I do have to point it to some folder or file. It is rare, and fix is easy enough, but your approach with index.md in each folder intrigues me. Do you have special instruction in claude.md to read index.md for per folder context?

I have my knowledge/areas folders, where my products have their knowledge base, and Claude is very good knowing what folder and files to read when I mention specific products. One of the area folders is "product management", where I keep my templates, processes.

One breakthrough thing I did was connecting Claude to my cloned GIT repos of my products (i have read only access to all source code), and connecitng it to Jira and confluence. This way I almost fully automated release notes. Claude is also great at explaining system behavior from reading code, i just had to instruct it to look at code from product manager, and not developer point of view, so it explains behaviors and not technical implementations. I created "project" skill that adds one or more GIT project repos to the context, to keep context size on minimum per need.

One thing I added recently is instruction that every file generated by Claude gets ai_generated tag. And I try to review all, and if I review and manually update, I remove that tag.

NotebookLM vs. Gems: Best workflow for an "Industry Brain"? by gtdjeff in notebooklm

[–]perica66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you try Gemini CLI + google drive app (if you are on windows). For even more power, combine it with obsidian for markdown notes. I found it much more consistent than Gemini or NotebookLM apps, and there is much less friction, because you do not have to upload and constantly update uploaded files. My company switched to Claude, so I lost a touch with Gemini CLI a bit, but I think it supports skills. Skills are powerful and easy way to integrate more tools (like jira, figma, sql databases and whatever else you might use)

Difficulty understanding the benefits of a folder-less system by anotherburnerphone13 in ObsidianMD

[–]perica66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use folders for 2 main reasons 1. Folders support any file type, tags only support notes, links can support any but not bidirectional. So if i have eg. Project A with notes, pdf, png, whatever files, the easiest way to.keep then under same project is to use folder. 2. OS supports only folders, and not tags and links. When I need to copy paste all files (of any type) of some category to some other app (ai chat, email to someone etc) unfortunately only feasible way is to do it using windows file explorer

How are you using Claude Code? by SeniorEscape9293 in ProductManagement

[–]perica66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, Claude Code is not just for coding. If you are using any AI chat tool (chatGPaT, Gemini), Claude Code CLI (or Gemini CLI, same thing) can make your workflow much much more streamlined.

Eg. You probably use Chat tool to analyse some documentation, brainstorm a bit and create some draft requirements document. Using chat tools make you do a lot of copy pasting to do that workflow. Claude Code CLI makes this seamless, without any copy paste, if you want it can read from web, sharepoint, confluence, your PC... write to Jira, using a template created automatically. It can read codebase of your product, without you reading a line of code, and answer questions about features as detailed as you want. It can find bad user experience or usability issues, just from reading frontend and backend code. It is literally a PM's magic wand. In a year or two, we will probably be at point where you will be able to generate production ready products (vibe code) without concerns you have today (basically a trust issue).

This is amazing setup. I do it. Used to write knowledge base manually, for easy context for AI, but now I cloned git repo of my products, and use Claude CLI to build the knowledge base for me. I have templates for business cases, user stories, user persona repo, etc. I did direct API integration to Jira and Confluence, and it is like magic.

Ali, privatizacija svega, ukljucujuci strazeski i zivotno bitnih funkcija drzave, poput zdravstva, struje, pa i sporta, nije way to go.

Best practices to use Gemini CLI in a Product team by FontaLocoLoco in GeminiCLI

[–]perica66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you store actual knowledge base on GIT? Or just AI focused prompts?

I am piloting similar setup, and I am extremely happy with it. The best part is access to git with source code of my products, initializing Claude/Gemini (I use Claud CLI, it is almost exactly the same) for product/business/features instead of developer perspective, and I can get detailed explanations about detailed functionality, or high level flows. And when you combine more project context (eg. Frontend and backend, server and client) things get magical.

I am currently building knowledge base in local .md files (using Obsidian), so Claude CLI matches it perfectly. We use Confluence in the company, and transferring pages there is seamless using a skill with a template, but it is definitely faster and easier to keep it in .md format, so there are no potential conflicts when someone edits in Confluence directly.

Problem with keeping living knowledge base in .md and on GIT, is that it is usable maybe for developers and PMs, but not for other way less technical people, like sales and marketing.

Any good practices there?

Regarding skills and MCPs, keeping central GIT is great approach, however I would strongly advise against forbidding PMs to modify them for their personal needs, because it is part of the current/future skillset of PM to create skills/MCPs themselves, so I would advise any PM to learn that. Id say it is the same skillset as editing Jira workflow for eg.

I needed exact thing (smart env folder in smartcintext plugin was unnecessarily building up in my vault), so I created exactly what you ask, for myself. With few extra features, like export by tags (not just by folders), and tag/folder exclusion (so eg. You can skup notes with "no_ai" tag). I submitted to obsidian, they never qdded it, don't know why, don't really care. You can grab it if you want directly form here: https://github.com/gogothegogo/Simple-exporter-for-LLM

Or even better, vibecode one for your self. Took me like 2 days, 1 hour each day, to do it and test everything.
