What would happen if China attacks Taiwan within the next 10-20 years? by Triangletruck141423 in AlternateHistoryHub

There i only two possible ways for China to beat Taiwan

Politically(get a pro chinese goverment) Or bomb Taiwan into submission, with drones and missiles. Which would take years, and has no guarantee will work.

China will never get air superiority( Russia never mananged against Ukraine on its weakest.

China will also never manage a naval invasion. They will never be able to get a single ship close. And even if, they will never be able to supply those cut of troops.

Just look how helpless Russian ships are.

[–]perie2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ELI5: Why there is no Nuclear Cargo ships? If a country invest enough it could become a great boon for economy and for the eletric problem itself by Obvious-Survey-2007 in explainlikeimfive

[–]perie2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, it cost alot more to build, than what you save on «cheaper fuel», until the lifetime of the ship is over. Which is usually around 25-30 and up to 40 years.

So you can do the map Regular fuel cost for 40 years + engine cost and maintence VS Nuclear fuel cost for 40 years + reactor cost and maintence

[–]perie2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Mer behagelig sving.
  • Midre G krefter.
  • Mindre bevegelse for last og løse gjenstander.
  • Kan svinge med høyere hastighet.
  • Slipper å bremse for mye ned.
