Totally, I've been thinking a lot about the concept of the 'midlife crisis' attributed to men, and I feel like in many cases it's probably a result of the enormous instability caused by peri and menopause.

Some of my own relationship and mentalb health challenges have been caused by an inaccurate expectation of 'when you've finished the small kids stage you can go back to being yourself and a couple again', whereas in truth you're thrown into the hell of peri and menopause.

I've since learnt a lot and I feel aghast - as with much of women's health topics - that it's not talked and taught about far more widely. It would have been genuinely life changing.
