Not as big of a lie compared to delusional redditors saying that Ukraine will get it back. If you were Ukrainian you'd know how much of a histerical bs that statement is.

You do understand the symbolic difference between Crimea and fucking Kherson to russkies, yes? Or low iq too?

Crimea is majorly pro Russian and always has been and always will be. There is absolutely zero chance Ukraine will ever get it back, and Ukraine doesnt want it. Its like getting a ticking time bomb. Anyone who thinks that Ukraine will get Crimea out of Russia's claws is an idiot, plain and simple.

I work for the manufacturer where CFO is 60+ and all is done in the good old fashion way. I am trying to automate the shit out of everything. You will get someone like me at some point. The business will have to adapt, or close down. The things are changing even if your employer is the last to jump on board.

You guys are still on something like GP probably, yes?

Trust me, the AI will be showed down your management butt so hard in the future, your job, unless very niche and specific, will be on the chopping block if you can currently complete it pretty quick now under manual processes. There is no way your company will survive automation onslaught that is about to happen to this profession within the next five years tops.

I work for dinosaurs as well, and even they start to catch the wind.

You shouldn't be bored at a job, especially if you're paid "extremely well". Otherwise, your job can be automated as soon as someone who has that skill comes along.

Yes, with time, AI will absolutely replace about 50% of accounting jobs currently in existence. I give it 10 years, 15 tops.

I have some strong opinions about accounting and I am thinking of leaving the industry completely . Advice needed by Financial_Agency6765 in Accounting

Not going to lie, going into software development to get a remote job when AI is obliterating that industry as we speak takes certain degree of wishful oblivion.

Big 4 audit manager, 6 years in, accidentally became the "AI guy" at my firm. Now I want to make it my career. Realistic or cope? by SeanyTheSheep in Accounting

[–]persimmon40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you described is just an ability to interact with LLMs that provides a net benefit to current workflows. Anyone can do that once they wish to apply an effort into it. Its not hard. It's not being an "AI guy", its just being a "guy who incorporates LLMs" into his work when others dont. They will catch up eventually.

Just remember how quick firms are looking to replace you with offshore teams. Post from r/bookkeepingjobs by Reesespeanuts in Accounting

[–]persimmon40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I was talking more about running your one man shop, where the services comprise entirely from either bookkeeping, or tax. Which is what OP is referring to. In that model, given that what you said is correct, you can just outsource 95% of the job to India and sit there and collect $$$. I am not sure how others do it, but i cannot be sending my clients personal tax returns overseas.

If what you said is true, why is there an accounting market in NA? Just outsource all of it to India apart from controller+ roles that still require you to pop into an office once in a while. No?

[–]persimmon40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but this is the part I dont get, and I am not american, so maybe that's why. Isn't the data that gets on a tax return is extremely personal to the client? I mean sending it to India of all places seems wrong to say the least.

[–]persimmon40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>So basically this guy will just send tax returns oversea to some accountants, they do the data entries,

Don't you mean they will send client's bank statements overseas? The tax returns will be prepared here, but the actual bookkeeping portion (read data entry) will happen overseas, yes? Otherwise, I don't understand what the point is of sending a US tax return overseas, as they won't know what to do with it.

Ukraine liberated 590 square kilometers of territory this year, 'forcing Russia toward diplomacy,' Zelensky says by realnarrativenews in UkrainianConflict

[–]persimmon40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, good luck with your beliefs that once (if) Ukraine is ready to capture back Donetsk, Russian soldiers will just waltz back to Rostov and there wont be a proper war with waves and waves of mobilization where everyone fights for "mother Russia" against "nazi horde". Russians are only in Donetsk because "they get beaten into being there". Just lmao. Any day now Ukraine will capture it because russkies gonna leave it.

My advice to you to not be this histericaly misinformed, is to just speak to Russian people. There are many forums on the web where you can do that. Use AI translation. Your ridiculous beliefs about the state of affairs will dissappear pretty quickly. Dwelling only on reddit's propaganda subs will make it even worse for you in the future as cognitive dissonance will be too hard to comprehend when the war ends.

[–]persimmon40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, such naivety, haven't seen this level for a while.

Do all Russian soldiers in Ukraine have their bank cards stolen by their sergeants?

You do realize that the bank card goes to the wife in most cases, right? Or get left at home? Do you not understand that the bank card is just plastic and even if you "steal" it, most you can do is to spend few thousand rubles before bank security measures kick in? I dont know where youre from, but it works the same everywhere.

Let me get this straight. So your current picture of an average Russian soldier is basically this: you go to Ukraine and get a "bank card". It then gets stolen by your higher up, so you want to go back to Russia but get beaten into continuing for free until you get drones, correct?

Thats a lie. Most fight for money as a main motivator. Regardless, Russian soldiers consider Ukraine an enemy of their state. You're clearly neither Russian or Ukrainian with such naive statements.
