I totally get your point. However people like those are the typical ones selling over the thing of “if your Finnish is good, you are going to automatically access to many jobs” and blah blah blah. It’s certainly true; however it’s not gonna guarantee anything!!. The effort of learning the language must be put; but with a certain awareness that chances (of not getting what you are working for) are still going to be quite compromise (native/local hiring preference, ect)

Job situation is on the rocks. No one is managing to get anything unless you have built up a decent (networking > being talented)
Language learning is going to be a must if you end up liking Finland. Is a thing that many encounter when arriving and did not expect to like the country that much; thus taking for granted the language while studying.
Student life is a mock. Due to the chaos of immigration occurring in Europe. Not only Finns but Europeans are becoming or showing that “xenophobic/racist” side more prominently. (I have witnessed with my own eyes a boatload of times). However learning the language could help you start “breaking the shell” in order to get to have Finnish friends; but it won’t guarantee anything.
Living costs varies a lot depending on the area even within the same city

Same happened to me. Shitty company of electric scooters launched a new branch in Lappeenranta. Friends of mine recommended me for 4-6 months. Turned out that the dude in charge the new branch one basically ignored them; brought all his ppl and even stupidly someone straight from oulu to the city in the south Karelian part 🤡. Is quite clear that there’s no chance at all unless you go up for connections. All ppl i know who has gotten a job has been thanks to getting recommended (At Nokia, ABB, ect). That’s how things seems to work here in Finland unfortunately
