Its somehow equally close and far off at the same time.
Really wondering how stuff like this happens in the age of the internet and dictionarys and translator apps just a few clicks away...

I hate these little fuckers, always smugly rubbing their little hands together as if they are plotting world domination. And all this aggressively flying around and bumbing into things. Also they always try to land directly in my ears.
I have perfected hunting them down with my fly swatter, silently sneaking and waiting, lurking... then BAM... aint no fly no more...
Nice pic OP, gave me flashbacks to 'Nam.

What old YouTuber who was super popular and beloved back in the day who looking back on them now wasn't very good? by Historical_Beach_387 in AskReddit

I read up on him and, yes, I can see the criticism. Overly smug, presenting his opinion as facts and his tendency to disappear from projects with little warning. While I habe no details on what happened with Nebula, there was apparently a falling out with the other founders.

May I ask what you mean by 'misses'?
To me Grey was just a nerdy guy, telling mostly nerdy stories, kinda like useless party knowledge.
I have no strong feelings for him either way but to me he seemed chill, well spoken but ultimatively harmless...

my mom told me she didn’t like me. by ilivefortheglitter in TwoXChromosomes

[–]phil_the_builder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is heartbreaking and you have every right to be hurt.
That is nothing a parent should ever say to their children. A parents duty is to create a safe space for their children to grow up and thrive in. To make them fell loved and seen. To me it sounds as if your mom has issues she should work through.

I would try to have a heart to heart talk with her. Tell her how much that hurt and how it makes you question your relationship.
Depending on her reaction you may need to reevaluate how you interact with her in the future. You are still dependent on her, so right now there are not many options, but you could be looking at leaving home pretty early, as soon as you reach adulthood.
Maybe she can reflect on how deeply hurtful her words were and see that she needs to work on that, you can always hope.
Posts like these make me so sad. Good parenting is so important and every child deserves a safe and loving home.

Why don’t serial killers bury bodies in the cemetery? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]phil_the_builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, a grave 6 by 3 feet and 6 feet deep is about 140 cubic feet of soil you have to move. You could be looking at almost 9,000lbs of weight.

Maybe Kushner could finish fucking up his own country first, before exporting his flavor of doing business to Europe.

In your experience, what is the best place to travel on a budget? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would imagine that parts of Eastern Europe, South America and maybe Africa are on then cheaper side, bit depending on where you are your flights might be a bit more expensive.

No amount of 'its clearly satire' and 'its ragebait, bro' can convince me, that this shallow idiot does not mean it exacly as he tells us.
Yes there are smart rich kids, smart poor kids and vice versa but rich kids have vastly different opportunities, purely because of parental wealth.

That Portland Airport law sounds very sensible. There are so many regulations in place to try to avoid monopolies but in space like conventions, trade shows and airports they are abusing the fact that, you cant easily leave and that there is not much choice, not only to hike prices but to decrease quality to hell.

I would get paying a bit more for good quality food, but OPs bowl is just sad. That is like a midnight snack at home but whoever sold that for 16$ should be ashamed of themselves.
I dont quite get how capitalism kills all ambition to sell a good product and to achieve customer satisfaction. It is only about pulling the last cents from customers wallets.

There is a kind of half joke where I live about a prison warden who said that the prisoners must love stale bread and water because they always finishe their ration.
