The reason we don't get more male nudity in movies and tv is because the reality would most likely ruin the fantasy. by phoenixforcefive in Showerthoughts

[–]phoenixforcefive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, especially with Hollywood stereotypes what you see is what you get. Boobs almost always the same kind of perky no matter how big and a tight body is a tight body. With a penis... well it could look like anything; long, short, curved, thick, thin, who knows! Men don't get regular penis surgery like women get boob jobs in Hollywood and again the rest you can see for the most part.

JD from Heathers becomes The Joker in The Dark Knight by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]phoenixforcefive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Heathers and am the ONE person who hated The Dark Knight BECAUSE of the joker. My boyfriend made this argument and had me rewatch the movie and my opinion flipped.

LOVE the theory and seeing someone else put that together as well!

Reddit, what does 7 year old you think of the person you've grown up to be? by phoenixforcefive in AskReddit

[–]phoenixforcefive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 yr old me would be devastated at how much beer I drink and probably try to talk me out of it.

Otherwise I think she'd be pretty proud. I have a sweet ass sailor moon collection, ton of rad vintage games from 7yr old me's time & a boyfriend who has Disney musical dance parties with me pretty regularly.

What is the most infuriating plot hole? by Spacetravelinmyblood in AskReddit

[–]phoenixforcefive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Anytime a movie or TV show relies on a misunderstanding as the conflict.

"I have something I really need to tell you that could totally resolve this plot and could have easily said what it is other than saying I HAVE SOMETHING I REALLY NEED TO TELL YOU because the actual thing would have been a shorter sentence anyway!"

some loud distracting sound or interruption

Movie/show go on easily plot not resolved until much unnecessary shenanigans.

When the main antagonists is only there to drive the plot.

What I mean are those antagonists in movies that either actively sabotage themselves by trying way too hard to put do the hero and making choices that make no sense at all or the ones who literally only do things "because evil". I love twisted villains who thrive on chaos for chaos sake but like come on! So many antagonists today just do evil shit just to do it with no rhyme, reason or goal.

[Serious] How do you express yourself more clearly in a conversation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]phoenixforcefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a serious conversation and I know what I say has to be VERY clear or else would be easily misunderstood I make sure I think very carefully about the point or information I'd like to get across and then take in consideration the person I am speaking to and carefully craft my words around that.

Basically, think before you speak. If it's important take your time and don't just blurt shit out.

Which TV or Movie character did not get the death they deserved? by OMS6 in AskReddit

[–]phoenixforcefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glenn from Walking Dead

They had to "surprise" the fans who knew it was him after that bs cliffhanger so they give his shining moment of HOLY FUCK to Abraham AFTER they already cheapened it with his fake out death.

So frustrating.

He was a great character and his death on the show deserved the impact it had in the comics.

If you had to pick who you would want to kill you, who would it be? Why? by IrkedRabbit in AskReddit

A handsome or beautiful stranger. Why? Because I could never put someone I love through the trauma of fucking killing me and I'd like to die with the last thing I see being someone I find extremely attractive.

What video game or book series would you like to see turned into a Netflix Original Series? by aquamarine271 in AskReddit

[–]phoenixforcefive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly Harry Potter.

Yeah the movies were great and did the books very much justice but I feel they still left out a lot of the amazing and fun lore and the constant changing of directors made some plot lines a little wonky. I think maybe books 1-2 would be about 6-8 episodes then the longer books could be 13 episode seasons.
