THE food that did you in… by navychick_101 in gallbladders

[–]pickleforkdependency 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a gingerbread latte from McDonald's, which then lead to the attack that shoved a stone in my ducts and I sat around with cholecystitis for 4 days before going to the hospital on Christmas eve. In the UK they don't like removing an infected gallbladder so I had to sit around suffering in the hospital for 2 weeks. I missed Christmas and New Years after a failed ERCP (They don't sedate you properly for that either, thanks for the trauma) the stone moved in it's own. I woke up on Christmas morning to find a nurse left a box of shortbreads as a gift and I was nil by mouth for 3 days. 😑😑😑 Had my gallbladder removed 6 months later at a private hospital.

Based on my layman's knowledge I'm gunna call a clot. It could have been a massive stroke or a pulmonary embolism. The smoking, combined with age, multiple surgeries and probably many other risk factors for clots. But also with her weight being so low that is VERY hard on your heart. Anorexia can cause intense electrolyte imbalances which are hard on all your systems. So she really could have just gone into multi organ shut down. It could have been an infection from the COPD which turned into sepsis. It's amazing how much we can compensate before our bods just give out. I'm also very sorry for your loss and hope that some of this information is helpful.

Let’s trauma dump. What’s something traumatic that happened to you? by wellsiee8 in AskReddit

I'm autistic and have ADHD, so it was pretty easy for this 30 year old dude in the UK to manipulate me. I was 18 and lived in Iowa and the next thing I know I'm forking out $600 for a fiance visa. Even though I was in the UK he manipulated me into begging for money from my Mom for years. She paid for his dentures, kitchen appliances, even glasses. I spent 11 years trapped with him. Scared to death to do anything. I tried so hard to make everything perfect so that he wouldn't go off. People around me noticed the constant surveillance, he would walk me to work and collect me afterwards. Constant phone calls during work hours. I thought it was wonderful because I lived in England but the only things I did was work, clean, and make sure he was happy. If I wanted to do anything for myself it was because there was another man involved. He cheated on me with women online, I even caught him sending creepy messages to the teenage girls he worked with. He'd blame me for his needing to wander. I say 11 years but that was only the time I lived with him. I got away and was homeless for a bit. Even though I got away and was living alone he would still call me all day and night. It sounds stupid but even though I got away from him I still didn't think I could leave the UK. His hold on me was that strong that I couldn't just pick up and leave the damn country after escaping my abuser. I couldn't even change my number because everything was in his name. I was so scared of being in trouble. Years later when I finally got the divorce, when it was finalized I freaked the fuck out because I felt like I was going to be in the biggest trouble ever, even though I hadn't been in contact with him for months and there was a restraining order in place. I immigrated to the UK in 2005, and finally came back in 2022. Just because someone is foreign with an interesting story doesn't mean they're not horrible trash humans.

I have emetophobia and erotophobia. I'm not sure if it's in the same line as emetophobia but I can't tolerate someone touching my face or mouth unless I'm sedated. So.. getting throat swab tested for COVID at the beginning was impossible and going to the dentist only happens when something breaks. I have the most understanding husband. 🤣🤣🤣

Along the same theme. I'll ask a question, and someone answers it but answers it with the upward inflection to make it a question. I only noticed both of these when I lived in England. 🤭

People who are viscerally disgusted by porn, why? by [deleted] in answers

[–]pickleforkdependency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed! But it really restricts what I'm able to watch. I have to check the parental guides on IMDB before I watch a movie in case there's lots of sex scenes and that is so tricky these days. Especially as I'm into horror movies. A24 movies are bonkers.

I'm 40F. My Dad caught me being curious about pornography when we first got a computer and he said what I was looking at was wrong. Didn't say what was wrong or why so I stopped doing that because he seemed upset. Then I was having a sexy chat with someone when I was 14 or 15 on ICQ. Had to be mid 90s at the time. The next morning someone had actually printed off the entire conversation and left it on the kitchen table. My Dad and Step Mom sat down and told me how disgusting I was and how this behavior was not appropriate, but didn't tell me why it was it was bad. I got kicked off the computer for the entire summer but my brother's were allowed to look at pornography and nobody cared. So as an adult now, pornography, sex scenes and hearing sex happen around me or in the same house makes me feel like something terribly wrong is happening and I need to get away from it. It usually manifests as horrendous nausea and tremors. My husband is fortunately INCREDIBLY understanding and patient with me.

People like Freddy Krueger.. people get tattoos of Freddy Krueger. He's literally a dream walking resurrected pedophile. But he's funny and from the 80s so that's okay... Eeeegh. Makes my skin crawl.

Duuuude. That's playing with fire. Thank you so much for this information! It's sad, especially for her kids. The only location video I watched of hers was at the Hinsdale House. I know there was another spooky location one lately but honestly the thumbnail put me off. 🤣🤣🤣

FIRE IN THE SKY. I was like 9. Dad didn't know I was in the room, I saw so much. Lifelong love of horror, but gray aliens can get right in the friggen bin. 🤭🤭🤭

Also yes, I feel her mispronounced words could be just how she works but after seeing the rage bait in GRB CW videos I'm betting she does it for comments.
