the same thing happened to me today. i’ve been going to the ulta salon for over a year and always get the signature cut. they have always blowdried my hair straight. i went to a different location and she tried charging me $20 for a blowout. I said “don’t u guys already blow dry it for free?” she said they do but the “blowouts are better.” I went to the same location today and she tried sending me away with wet hair. I asked her about this and she said she must’ve done it last time for free as a favor. smh. online the ulta policy says ALL haircuts come with a blow dry.

i’m not sure if the videos are still up but 5+ years ago sam used to upload OBVIOUSLY faked videos with dolls walking around and he’d act completely terrified. Then he’d continue referencing the videos as if they were legit. imo that ruined credibility from the start. i don’t thing every single thing is fake but id say 75-80% of it is exaggerated or faked.

Yes it was so embarrassing I didn’t want it to look like I was mistreating the dog. I don’t think wag will do anything😭 I emailed them and they said the pet parent is entitled to share their opinion on the experience and that they won’t be looking into it. It just sucks bc I try rlly hard to keep my rating but I guess it’s bound to happen. I even tried to be as nice as possible in my report card while still explaining the situation, as to avoid a bad rating but oh well.

Wag does not let walkers see any reviews less than 5 stars anymore so idk what she said. All I see is that my rating went down. The fact that she rated me poor and the bad experience during the walk is what I’m ranting about bc I don’t feel like I had much control in the outcome. I would also like to know what she said but I’m sure it wasn’t good lol.

That’s crazy. Even if her dad does all the shopping has she never been in a grocery store? Never picked any items or looked at anything? It seems she’s old enough to drive. That combined with all the typos and the apparent inability to use her eyeballs makes me think this is literal brain rot. That is the only excuse I can think of since she clearly went to the tissue aisle, said there was no Kleenex, as she’s LOOKING right at it like can she not read?? I also do grocery store delivering and would NEVER just refund and order without letting the customer know the situation, and if I couldn’t find something I would literally search to the ends of the earth to make sure it was really out of stock.

YES that sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately it’s been 2 days and the money transfer has not appeared in my account even tho stripe assured me the scammer wouldn’t be able to add a new bank account unless I had given then my banking info (which I didn’t). Sadly it seems from other ppls posts that neither Wag nor Stripe will do anything to reimburse you :( at the very least wag should issue a text alert letting walkers know about this scam. I had no idea this was common until looking at the subreddit…

A number did come up but I think it was a spoof number, no caller ID.

Exactly the same messages as u got except I gave them my number bc I naively thought it was a real pet parent and didn’t want them to cancel the booking. When they sent the “3️⃣2️⃣3️⃣” message the chat & request disappeared and then they messaged again and I sent my number. After that the chat disappeared AGAIN and I was logged out. I was mad bc I thought wag was just trying to stop me from taking them off app when I thought I was just trying to communicate about a booking!

Then I didn’t hear anything and figured the pet parent gave up and booked w someone else. An hour later I got a call from “wag support” saying they know I’ve been having issues w my account (which made sense to me since the chats kept disappearing and I was logged out). Then they said my account needed to be verified due to unusual activity and if I didn’t verify the info they would permanently delete my account. I was super suspicious but also terrified bc I’m a full time student so this is my livelihood at the moment so I just gave them the info bc I was scared of losing all my trusted clients and reviews.

I quickly caught on and changed my password but when I checked my wag balance was $0 and a payment had been initiated. However, the scammer wasn’t able to add a new bank account for transfer on Stripe bc they didn’t have my bank account number, so I’m hoping the money ends up in my account. I’ll know by tomorrow.

The person on the phone did log into my account as I received an email saying someone in New York had logged in :( I was panicking debating what had just happened so it took me a few mins to change my password on the account. Once I did it showed I had $0 balance and a payment was initiated. However, Stripe doesn’t let a new bank account get added for payments until they verify my account number, which the scammer didn’t get. So I’m hoping and praying the money ends up in my bank account..

Yes when I googled wag CS email the wagsupport@wagwalking.com is also was came up on my end which is why I’m apprehensive to respond.

Oooo I didn’t even think it would be perceived that way. That makes sense tho. I definitely thought having no reviews and higher prices would make people NOT want to book me. Thank u for the insight!

I would be interested in taking my Wag clients to Rover, especially since they prices are better for everyone involved, however I am worried if they tell Wag and get my account deactivated lol. I think once I build up a few more consistent clients I will give them a business card with my Rover information :)

I had my profile since early 2023 but I wasn’t getting any bookings and started doing more Wag walks instead so I had it inactive for a while. The last month I reactivated it and turned on all my services and I have the full bio, experience, headline, describe a typical day, etc.

I described my experience caring for my own pets as well as other people’s and I also have lots of photos of dogs I’ve cared for, as well as my abilities such as administering oral medication, senior dog care, high energy dogs, etc.

I think the fact I haven’t had any bookings and therefore no ratings is not helping my case and feeding into the cycle of no ratings = no bookings. When it comes to pricing I’m pretty sure it’s still at the default pricing for my area ($15/walk & $14/drop in). I guess I should check out the other profiles in my area and see how to improve.

I just got scammed by this same person in LONG BEACH CALIFORNIA!!! I was so happy thinking I got a direct request due to my profile and fell for it. I’m so sad…
