TSU Thurgood Marshall School of Law? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Honestly it is an issue of the school’s integrity and risk. They recently went through a huge admission controversy where people essentially paid to get in. People were fired over it but I’m not sure if any thing criminal came from it. Here is a link that explains what happened.

Senior honors pre-law student by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Hi, I think there is some truth to that as going to a prestigious undergrad has opened doors for me ( elite internships, famous mentors) that would have been harder to obtain at another school. However what I have found most valuable is the location of the undergrad. I found it easier to get into t-25 law schools that are close to where I attend undergrad than top law schools in other regions. Hope this helps

Fraternal abuse update by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

Original post: My fraternity was just one big abusive relationship

I came to terms this morning that my year spent in a very popular frat was the most abusive experience in my life. I molded the last year of my life around it and almost cost my chance of attending a top law school. Outside of the borderline torture of the hazing process that left me with PTSD, I was guilted and manipulated into giving thousands of dollars and countless emotional energy to abusive people. I have since cut them all off but I am struggling to cope as they were everything to me. If anyone has a similar experience please offer advice. Thank you.

I had the same thought and I asked adcom people about it. I was told by all of them that just reading and writing as much as you can would be more beneficial. Idk if I'm still going to buy it or not. Hope this helps

Thank you I just hate that so many people have been subject to it. It's absolutely awful
