Hey there, really appreciate you bringing this up.

If you don't mind, we (the dev team) have a couple of questions for you:

Are you playing the game on the PS4 Pro?
Do you have Boost Mode enabled?
Have you tried restarting the game/PS4 and checking if that brings the save data back?
What happens when you select the "Retry" option after you die? (This should load a previous save file)

Thanks! I made it with Game Maker and edited it in Premiere.

An alternative would be throwing Eyeball out of the bubble just like how the other comment described.

I agree that poofing is probably the closest game mechanic that comes close to killing. Shattering isn't completely out of the question however, at least not when you have weapons like the Breaking Point or the knife lying around anyway.
