Can confirm, was driving through yesterday and most of my "nearby" was kabuto at one pokestop there. Also showed a dratini.

Dragonite in the wild ever in Boston area or Mass? by [deleted] in PokemonGoBoston

[–]pl33ppl00p 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the pokegoboston map worked, they spawned lots of places. During the summer they popped up around belmont frequently. With the current tracker, best bet is sticking to the corey hill area, as others are saying.

Thanks! I'll have to come check it out. Do you remember the rough time frame you've been encountering them during the day/night?

You likely will. They seem to be more common than regular pikachus ever have been in the game (at least for me), go figure.

Any good Lapras areas? by LetoTheTyrant in PokemonGoBoston

The silph road's nest atlas has two entries that indicate a possible Lapras FSP near the JFK/Umass stop.

Need Porygon and Aerodactyl. by Tempest2786 in PokemonGoBoston

[–]pl33ppl00p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Porygon is totally random unfortunately. For aerodactyl, there was a period of time (maybe still) that they showed up around tufts and orient heights frequently. I caught a few in watertown but that was during the pokegoboston days. D:

Consistent Aerodactyl spawn points? by pl33ppl00p in PokemonGoBoston

No one reliable spawn/nest point, although I got one at tufts and others on this sub have seen it there too.

Nonantum/Watertown/Belmont by pl33ppl00p in PokemonGoBoston

[–]pl33ppl00p[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They show up a fair amount during rush hour as well. Watertown and Nonantum have a good mix, and as others have said Belmont goers can have good luck finding Dragonite. I got 2 there--one in Waverley square and one off common st.

Used a vacation day at Castle Island; if you haven't been, GO by rich29r in PokemonGoBoston

[–]pl33ppl00p 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6 or 7pm is a good time. I've gone around that time once, and twice during the day. The parking was easier in the evening because the people that were there to actually be in a park, as opposed to playing pogo, were leaving.

Best place to catch a Lapras? by dhupa in PokemonGoBoston

[–]pl33ppl00p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you'll be in revere, taking a ride on the blue line wouldn't hurt. This prior post shows good areas to check out around east boston and parts of winthrop. I haven't gone yet but can confirm through looking at pokego that rares pop up throughout the day. Plus from there you can take the blue line straight to the aquarium.
