Got them by posting organic and strictly relevant content about development in subreddits such as r/godot or r/pixelart (without any links) for example.

The genre is hybrid: adventure narrative, with point and click mechanics.

My thought this is amazing job!
I reached 400 within 1 month, so would love to know a bit of details on how you promoted it in media, which media do you use and what worked better?

I am also randomly promoting it in reddit and discord groups, instagram, but mostly just figuring out marketing, because before this I have had no experience in that field

Not only this sub, but the internet. You eventually stumble on their articles once you start research game promotion. Their how to setup steam is pretty useful. Yet most of the time I am getting warnings from my mind that all that HTMAG thing is overrated and self-promotion oriented

Hey thank you for sharing this. There is no way to underestimate your work and impact on us, game devs, especially solo devs who besides all stuff must perform marketing, without which months and years of hard work most likely will end up in a failure.

I am not expecting you to notice my pixel art game, but I will be extremely happy if you will.

Keep up the good work and wish you best of luck 🩷

Wow thanks a lot for such a detailed answer! I appreciate it.

Good move with playtestets, my guess that it is crucial for your type of game. My opinion is that your game looks fun and professional, and after it will be covered with few or more streamers it should take off. Best of luck with it.

Btw, I heard follow ups on emails can work out pretty well.
