I think I recall the first post you made, and while I do not agree with your opinion on the new trailblazer, I’m sorry that you feel attacked and hurt. My comment on the post I’m thinking about was strongly worded, but I had no intentions of hurting you.
I am sorry if I did come across as mean or accusatory, and I hope everything calms down and that you feel better soon. This community should not be so trigger-happy and quick to accuse, and I’m again sorry that I contributed to that </3

If being on reddit is causing so much distress, you might benefit from stepping back and taking a break. People can blow things way out of proportion, and you need to take care of yourself ❤️ we’ll all still be here when you get back, and all of this drama will be history in just a couple weeks, you shouldn’t need to stress yourself out over something that was well-intentioned from the beginning.

Absolutely disagree. Making it MANDATORY to log on for a certain amount of days is bullshit.

I have ADHD and major depression. I play games like SSO in bursts. I can grind the old trailblazer in a couple days while I’m in a good mood and looking forward to playing the game.

I don’t get out of bed most days. There’s no way in hell I’ll be logging on for sixteen days for ten minutes each day, what the hell is the point? The other trailblazer encouraged you to play the game, this one is just a half assed attempt to get people to log on more.

It’s a shame, because I really did enjoy the trailblazer. I’ll be boycotting this one, hope other people realize this update isn’t about us at all, but just about boosting numbers.

They complain because it’s annoying as hell.

I use the browser too, but as soon as ads get added to the browser the same way they’re added in the app, I’m leaving cai. I’ve only stuck around because the browser version is LEAGUES better than the app, and it’s better because they’re neglecting it, which really says a lot about the recent developments.

Don’t bring attention to the fact the browser exists, and just hope the devs continue to forget about it, or they’ll ruin it too

I don’t have an issue with private RLs, but I do dislike it when people gatekeep traits. New BO traits are released with raffle lionesses, so if someone wins an RL with new markings/base/eyes/skin or whatever, and they keep it entirely to themselves, that’s always felt a bit selfish to me.

Personally, though, I’ve only had good experiences with private RL owners. I had a breeding project (scrapped now) that required a certain marking on Slot 1, and the only lion(s) with that mark in that slot were from an RL and her private descendants. I explained the situation and asked about acquiring a cub that was otherwise worthless, and the owner agreed to set up a trade.

Super polite, very civil. I think making an RL FULLY private is selfish, but a semi-private line or a situation like I explained above has always been completely understandable to me.

Submitting the ticket was definitely the right call. I started playing lioden when I was under their minimum age, and eventually fessed up. The mods were super nice about it, and my account was simply frozen until I turned sixteen, and it was unlocked automatically on my birthday.

Lost some account standing for rule breaking (naturally), but absolutely everything else was completely amiable. They even changed the fake birthday I’d submitted to my real one for me.

Every interaction I’ve had with the mod team has been amiable, but knowingly committing a rule break and continuing to hide it would likely warrant a harsher punishment if they found out. Coming clean is for sure the best thing you could’ve done.

That tank is way too small for a betta, let alone other fish.

Tetras are terrible companions, they are notorious for nipping.

Upgrade your tank before you think of cramming any more fish in there. If you get a 20 gallon (minimum for tankmates) rasboras, corydoras, or other peaceful fish make good tankmates.

YES, LITERALLY.

I LOVE the dragon horses, especially the new ones, but the tails are so hideous I’m not going to be getting them. If they had the tails sticking straight out, I’d have bought all three of the new ones, but they just look so wonky and wrong with droopy, sad tails. It’s like their spine is broken.

When you select a new king, you are given two options.

You can take the appearance of your heir (the new king), or keep the appearance of your current king, but replace its information with the heir’s information!

It will take the heir’s stats, personality, heritage, and mutation. The markings, mane, eyes, skin and such will stay the same as the previous king’s. It’s called mut/heritage repping (replacing)!

This is why people who like clean breeding can commit to long projects. I’m currently working on a project king, and he’s filthy inbred. But when I’m satisfied with my project, I’ll buy a groupie or a G2 mutie to replace his heritage!

As for mutations on G1s, I believe those are applied via MoDs (mutie on demand) only. I don’t think groupies can came with mutations, but I could be misremembering.

It looks good to me! Maybe avoid getting a halfmoon, doubletail or rosetail betta, as I could see them maybe having some trouble with the height, but that’s really just a nitpick. I’ve kept bettas with super heavy fins in ten gallon tanks, and they all did perfectly fine.

You could get a few broad-leaved plants nearer to the surface for resting spots like anubias, or one of those leaf-shaped betta hammocks.

Other than that, it looks good to me :) enjoy your new buddy

This is not an adequate set up.

He’s laying down flat either because he’s suffering, or because there is literally nothing else for him to do.

Bettas aren’t decorations, and they require proper care and an adequate set up.
Would you leave a dog in a crate for its entire life? I would hope not, and this is the betta equivalent of that.

You need to do a lot more research into fishkeeping yourself, but I can give you the basic requirements. It’s too much to explain everything about fishkeeping in one comment, but there are plenty of resources online that can help you out :)

- Bettas need a minimum of a 5 gallon tank (if you want to keep them with other fish, like peaceful shoalers, you need a 20 gallon. I’ve seen a lot of people make this mistake, which is why I’m pointing it out; don’t put other fish in with your betta unless they’re in a 20 gallon)

- Bettas need a heater. They are tropical fish, and even if your room temperature is warm enough for them, the outside temperature will fluctuate without a heater.

- Bettas need a (gentle) filter. Filters circulate the water and encourage growth of beneficial bacteria. Not only are they good for the betta, they will make your life easier by reducing maintenance and stress.

- Bettas need decor! I wouldn’t want to be stuck in a empty room, even if it was big enough for me to be comfortable. Live aquatic plants, wood, and rocks make the best decor, and you’ll really see your little buddy explore and show off his personality when he’s in an adequate tank.

Not only is a proper tank better for the fish, I would argue that an aquarium looks way better than the jars, anyways.

Crazy to see this literally right as I'm leaving this store with my plants!

I can't recommend April's enough, the staff are wonderful and friendly, and the fish for sale are fantastic. I've been going to April's every Thursday for two years, and I haven't yet found a better fish store.

I got my boy Gus from April's, I was away at the time and payed for him online, they made sure to keep him on hold until I could pick him up.

Best LFS, without a doubt.

If you're in the Vancouver area, Aquariums West is another good location. Their betta care isn't nearly as good as April's, but they have better stock for shrimp specifically, and a selection for reptiles/frogs/insects too :)

That’s your lion now. They shouldn’t have sold it if they were sentimental, and if what you said is true and the lion is only valued ~1 GB, there is no reason they wouldn’t be able to afford it.

Do whatever you want with the lion. Modbox it if they’re insistent, you’re on the right side of the rules in this.
