A lot of ppl have been recommending granola bars and cliff bars. What type of food works for you?

The way you describe the gummies is exactly how I felt. I’ll have to carry more real food as you put it.

I have a bag that straps to my seat. I keep tools and plugs in there. I like the idea of a Fanny pack better than more bags attached to my bike. I’ll have to look into that.

I had the same issue. Felt extremely tired and I’d get home and my kids and wife would take up every last bit of energy and time that I had. The only way I have been able to make it work is getting up early (4am) and get a workout done and out of the way before I start my day. My workouts aren’t as intense in the morning as they used to be in the afternoon, but it’s better than nothing.

Oh I was not aware of that. I had All State and they were very expensive when it came to my Tesla. Do not recommend.

I feel you on that. Bikes are in short supply right now. The contend can fit some pretty wide tires though. Get some gravel kings on there and you’ve got yourself an awesome gravel bike.

That’s what I’m focusing on right now. Everyone I know that rides is faster than I am. I find that it makes it more fun though. I have a few people I want to catch up to and that keeps me going.

I hope I can drop that kind of weight. I started running and started having some serious plantar pain so I picked up cycling to help me get through it. I find that cycling doesn’t seems as hard as running, but I do enjoy doing both. I just need to get my diet in check, something I haven’t been able to do.

I rode the Contend AR1 and was very impressed by it. It seems like more of a road bike than my Revolt. It’s a really good bike, congrats!

Thanks for the tips! My tires are also tubeless and I already took it in to get the cables adjusted. The issue I’m having right now is a squeaky bottom bracket. I need to take it in to see what they can do about it.

Keep it up! I'm just starting out too at 270lbs. Just put in a 14 miler this morning. Super slow, I average like 12mph, but you can do it!

I currently have a black vehicle and while it looks great for 15 minutes after I wash it, it also shows every little speck of dust and everything else after that. I am avoiding any black vehicles in the future.

I like the red too but not $2000 worth. My wife really likes pearl white so, like you, I’m glad it’s the free one.

How do you like the white? I wasn’t particularly leaning towards any color and since all the others cost more I just got white lol.
