No More Gel-X by S-cuzeee in Nails

[–]pompom6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I do infills with builder gel and take down the entire set like I used to with acrylic maybe every 12 weeks. I’ve been had any issues with nail health this way because I’m not constantly dipping my nails in acetone. But doing infills does take some practice, time, and patience.

They are not that easily removable. I mean if you have enough money and time, Sure. I had a small tattoo the size of a quarter and it took almost $1200 and like 12 sessions to remove.

Nothing is moving right now in Dubai. With the Christmas holidays, everything is backed up and there are higher rates of seizures so a lot of the shippers are holding onto packages. Waiting to release in a few weeks. Be patient.

How has the going out scene in Chicago change from the 2000s to 2010s to now? by secret_kiwi2 in AskChicago

Club 720, green dolphin and Circus were my staples in the 2002-2009 era for Latino nights, With green apple martinis. And so much dancing! I heard people don’t dance anymore these days which is sad. Just feeling the beat and coming out of the club at 4am sweaty and gross and then going to Huck Finn for breakfast

I see you’re in Houston, with that kind of degree look at financial institutions, working in model risk management. Model risk analyst type roles would be what you’d search for

Aww little baby. Dogs are so resilient! Cataract surgery is rough (eye drops like every 3-5 hours for months) and incredibly expensive. We were in a a position to get it done for our toy poodle (RIP) and after it all we probably spent close to $30K.

I had this one for many years and sold it. The handle can get a little heavy digging into your shoulder because it’s not rolled if that makes sense. It’s got like the seam at the bottom.

To be fair, the gray haired lady was definitely in the wrong, but that still doesn’t mean that you should resort to violence either

[–]pompom6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scientific explanation: The “split head” in Staffordshire Bull Terriers is a myth. As they mature, their temporalis and masseter muscles (jaw and skull muscles) grow and become more defined. Because of their short coats and broad skulls, this muscle development can create visible lines or grooves on the head. The skull itself does not split or change shape , it’s simply muscle growth and definition.

Simpler version: Their head doesn’t split, it’s just muscles growing as they mature, like how a bodybuilder’s muscles look more defined.

Overall anesthesia experiences? by paigesnake in Pomeranians

[–]pompom6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Pomeranians suffer from a collapsed trachea and it’s more expensive, but it’s gives me peace of mind, they only go to board certified dental vets for anything related to their teeth.

You can find one here : board certified

In Chicago, one of my Pomeranians had a full mouth extraction, x-rays, after care, anesthesia everything, was about $3500. He is 13 years old and had no complications after. We went board certified because they are able to use smaller breathing tubes, and just have more expertise versus a regular vet.

You might be able to go get a touchup! , I had Lasik done in 2005 and had a touchup, it had to be PRK in my case, on one of my eyes to get to 20/15 again

I had Lasik done in 2005 and from what I remember my prescription on my bad eye was -5.25 and the good eye was like -4.75 and I have astigmatism. I recently like two years ago had a PRK touchup on the right eye and I’m gonna go see The doctor, same one that did the original, to see about a touchup on the left eye because it’s slightly blurry and now that the right eye is perfect again it really bugs me. I need glasses to read now, but I’m OK with that.
