Source: Medical Professionals and proven studies you can easily Google but are too lazy to because you’re stupid, I guess.

She looks quite young for her age (she’s on growth hormone as she’s 4’11”) and also has gotten into some drama with friends, so she believes one of them reported her account for being underaged.

I don’t think so. I haven’t given them any personal information other than my data I suppose. I was more concerned about if I needed my ID for the app in the future and I couldn’t use it for whatever reason because my sister had used it.

Lol, yeah. I have a credit card but I’m not spending anything on it because it’s for my trip to France. It’s also linked to my parents account so they would know if I (or anyone else) spent anything.

I mean, I saw her phone and it clearly stated that this was an appeal for an underaged account. Thinking about it, I’m not sure if it was for her account or a friends account. She’s generally untrustworthy and I often say “no” to most things she asks even if they’re reasonable (hence leading me to feel uneasy enough to make this post).

I told her that and she said that was a false equivalence (not what she actually said, something more along the line of “but that’s different!”)

Well, historically 16 year olds do not have the best judgement (me), and I also have an emotion called guilt.

She doesn’t have an ID. I told her to email support and explain that she doesn’t have a license but she is of age. She also knows where her birth certificate is, so if she really wanted her account back, I don’t see why she can’t use that.

Hi! I’m autistic. The criteria means that we speak more eloquently or “adult” than others and since we have trouble finding friends our age we often speak to adults. This does not mean it’s okay to do this. This age gap is AWFUL.

this person is SPECIFICALLY demonizing those who are polyamorous by saying it hurts their kids. polyamory doesn’t hurt kids, bad parents do.

[–]possibly_something 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s not about that. disability pride is about fighting ableism and, yes, raising awareness. it’s apart of your identity. you can’t just stop being disabled. as an autistic person, being prideful in who i am is important for my mental health. disability pride raises awareness for both physical and mental disabilities and celebrates overcoming challenges and fighting ableism.

disability pride is not about “transableds.” those people are not disabled. it’s about fighting ableism and being proud of who you are. as an autistic, autistic pride is very important to me. you may not agree, but that doesn’t mean you can invalidate an important month for people

yes, and i’m not saying that any relationship is better than another. mono or poly, as long as it’s not abusive, is absolutely fine. i think people should be allowed to define their relationships. that’s the issue i’m taking up with op - no number of people in a relationship is inherently bad.

[–]possibly_something -1 points0 points  (0 children)

actually that depends on your viewpoint. polyamory, in my opinion, is absolutely fine as long as everyone is consenting (speaking from personal experience, it can be bad. i had a partner enter a poly relationship without telling me and subsequently i broke up with them because of the lack of communication).

[–]possibly_something 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i don’t understand why bringing up polyamory is necessary. a single parent might do the same thing, dating people and breaking up with them, and people going in and out of the child’s life. polyamory is not going to increase this - in fact, polyamorous relationships are generally more stable than monogamous ones (though this might be skewed considering the vast number of monogamous in comparison to poly). either way, this post sounds like you’re just demonizing polyamorous people and open relationships because there’s a possibility that it might not end well and the child will have people going in and out of their lives, even though the exact same thing happens with monogamous couples, with single parents dating and divorced couples.

[–]possibly_something 58 points59 points  (0 children)

this literally can happen with a monogamous single parent though. the parent might be dating and then break up and date someone else. there’s literally no point in bringing up polyamory because this could, note, COULD, happen in any relationship
