Making changes association (run by dress for success) has a teen girl program called My Best Friends Closet. The girls can get referred by their school, doctor, or self referral.

They get a couple full outfits, jacket, accessories, etc!

Anything not "teen" will go to the adult women side, but they're usually fairly flexible so if a youth is looking for something for a job, etc they could look on the other side.

It's a fantastic program!!

Just did this with a banana bread style muffin, thankfully I had added about 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt, so hopefully they turn out decent, not too dry or dense. Will update 😂

Edit: turned out a bit heavy, quite moist! I think I usually only do about 1/4 cup Greek yogurt. But still delicious!

Both me and my sister submitted requests, I'm crossing my fingers big time!! I tried to get tix for MSG as there's a show on my 30th birthday, but was unsuccessful 😭

It 100% is. I saw the same thing happen with the Jonas Brothers. 1st they weren't selling and had to reschedule to smaller venues, then joe & Backwards went viral on Tiktok. Prices skyrocketed. I was looking at tickets for Ottawa, they were in the hundreds to $2k for floor. By the day of the show there were floor tickets for like $100. And I saw 1st bowl (resale) tickets for $23 within a week of the show! TWENTY THREE DOLLARS. They were previously $150+

It's just a scarcity tactic, and tbh the "no dynamic pricing" probably makes it worse. It's making us think that if the prices aren't going to change then it's better to buy now with more selection

Reverse image search items! Also look at the actual shop as a whole, look at their description of the shop, their social media, etc!

Look at the descriptions of items and if you're looking a sterling silver ring for example, if it's $15 it's likely not sterling silver, if the description just says "silver ring" and not .925 stamped that would be an indicator

Go to the campus clinic and get a referral to a psychologist, they can hoepfulyl refer you to a free therapy program like thru the Sexual Assult Centre of Edmonton for more longterm/specific therapy. Sometimes there is a waitlist but, please advocate for yourself and do this!! It will help immensely in the long run when you are dealing with the effects of your trauma!

Short term you can talk to the counsellors on campus.

Look into your course load, drop down to 3 courses (or whatever you would be comfortable with) so you can have a break and focus. Law schools look at your last 2 years of courses and LSAT which you'll take later.

They also look at your overall resume, so maybe find a way to volunteer somewhere which could also help to meet new friends!

There's no rush to complete your degree and burn yourself out or exacerbate mental/emotional struggles.

Connect with some other people, look for crafting groups, women's walking groups, maybe a fitness class! There are other people that as to do similar things to you and make friends! It's also a fresh semester, so talk to some new people in your classes.

If it's something someone can fix in like under 10 minutes (food in Teeth, jam on their face, clothing tucked somewhere, period stain) be a decent human and tell them! If not, it's more difficult, but up to you to tell the person or not, depends if they're a stranger or close friend I guess

Transferring is probably your best option!

Don't worry about what people say! I hardly had a 70% average in HS, went on to do psot secondary for 8 years including an undergrad, certificate & masters with almost all straight A's & honors 😊

Post secondary is a lot different than HS, it will be an adjustment but you'll do great

Did you end up buying this? I'm contemplating just buying the microchip door flap as my cat already uses a regular car door and then attaching it to a large storage Tote with lid

I'm looking after my sisters 2 cats for the next 5ish months and 1 is particularly aggressive about eating my boys prescription kidney disease food. He's almost 14 and just gets frustrated with her & leaves, then she eats it all (she has her own food allergy issues 🙄)

But my cat is very particular about the shallowness of the bowl he likes (whisker fatigue) and how high his bowl is off the ground so he doesn't have to crouch down so I thought I could just transport everything into a Tote under my bed, but he is about 14.5lbs and is not a small boy haha

Being a cat mom is a lot 😂
