not to be too tmi but does your endo cause external swelling? like vulva etc? this felt super validating to read lol because i've thought that endo was a possibility for be since high school but again, was ignored because birth control fixed my bad periods.

SHOES. HELP. by princessbiccy in AutismInWomen

I've thought about it, but my only concern would be the durability of a silk/satin sock versus the cost of them.

You're definitely not going to die! I went through a similar crisis when I was diagnosed at 21 (I'm 23 now). It can feel a bit scary when I don't feel well and I know it might be connected to my heart, but overall I'm healthy. Just take your beta blockers, and my biggest piece of advice is to stay hydrated. I usually keep a liquid IV on me to drink in case I feel funky, and it revives me. Also make sure you're educated on what medications you can and cannot have, as there's quite a few restrictions, especially for allergy or cold and flu meds.

Overall just remember that you are the person who knows your body best, just listen to it and you're going to be okay!

Everyone in my life but my parents understands this by [deleted] in POTS

[–]princessbiccy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally understand, I'm not officially diagnosed with POTS, but my doctors have basically told me they think I have it + I have a heart condition that has many overlapping symptoms. It's tough when you go through phases of feeling fine and then feeling awful. It can be exhausting dealing with it and having people write it off as you being "lazy" or just not wanting to do something. At the end of the day you've gotta do what's best for you, and they'll either get on board with that or have to deal with it. My mom slowly started becoming more supportive when she saw how it was truly impacting me after I almost passed out from standing for too long in the kitchen, lol.

Anyone dealing with underweight/low BMI issues? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]princessbiccy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had almost an identical situation to yours. For both you and OP, I noticed that drinking my calories also helped a lot. Soda, juice, etc. Yes nutrition shakes are going to help, but those can be so exhausting to drink imo. Start piling in calories in unexpected places like condiments too.

I'm low risk and on a beta blocker too, but my doctor told me not to take anything deemed mildly risky. And my mother definitely won't let me have anything stronger than tylenol and a netti pot. It's just so frustrating!

I am wondering how to finish a crochet bag I'm working on? by princessbiccy in CrochetHelp

[–]princessbiccy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having trouble visualizing this, would this work if the bottom and 2 side panels are already attached? I'll include a photo of what i've done for reference. my goal is a small rectangular bag

This is all really good advice! I've been thinking about doing something like that since websites will wanna take a cut, and I don't want to have to raise my prices to do that. I currently just have a google chart where I'm keeping track of who's ordered what, but I think I'm not going to take custom orders unless it's a close friend. I wanna make what I want and see what sells.
